I don’t know that we will, though, since she was last seen heading off into the Unknown Regions to find Ezra. Maybe Mando will end up going that way too.

I suspect that will be another cartoon series.

There was a Katie Sackhoff casting rumor. More Bo Katarn IMHO than Sabine.

More like a comic or novel, I reckon.

I had to look up who that is. I see she did Bo-Katan's voice in both the Clone Wars and Rebels.

I think it's unlikely that Bo-Katan is still alive. The only ways Gideon could have gotten the darksaber off her was by killing her or capturing her. If he did the latter, then she could potentially come back, but I doubt the other Mandalorians would follow her again, since losing the darksaber (and not losing it over her dead body) would be pretty shameful. Probably worse than taking off your helmet.

That said, as cool as it was to see the darksaber in a live-action production, its appearance in Gideon's hands undermines Sabine's giving it to Bo-Katan, considering that only 8 years have passed between the end of Rebels and the start of the Mandalorian. Clearly Bo-Katan's uprising against the Empire failed. Perhaps it is what led to the purge spoken of in the show.

That said, even if Bo-Katan is dead, there's no reason we might not see her in a flashback or some sort of historical holo-record or something.

I wouldn't get to hung up on the helmet thing. They might be the last surviving Mando's. The one that saved him was deathwatch apparently.

Yes, but the Death Watch didn't have a thing about not taking off their helmets when we saw them in the Clone Wars. And none of the Mandalorians in the Rebels had an issue with taking their helmets off.

I imagine it was developed as a post-purge survival technique, along with the whole "only one allowed out at a time" rule. I would also be willing to bet that there are other Mandalorian "coverts" hidden around the galaxy.

I would also love to know if the Armorer is someone we've seen before or just a random Mandalorian. I doubt she's either Bo-Katan or Sabine. She could theoretically be Sabine's mother, but that seems unlikely as well.

The helmet thing could just be this group.

Doesn't matter to much I expect there's a somewhat decent explaination either way.

They do that in the show. It's a nice feeling.
