True, what exactly was it that he offered Luke to eat on Dagobah...

Something slimey.

It's the small attention to detail I think that helps the Mandalorian.

Lots of easter eggs without recycling scenes from the OT.

Just small things tying it to Clone Wars/Rebels turning into an epic overarching story over 15+ years.

End of the first one was cool when it zoomed out and you saw Temuera Morrison standing there. Damn straight he survived! He has to have an episode or two coming up.

He might have a spin off series coming up.

The Mandalorian isn't unkillable. There's other Mandalorians around and established characters.

Boba Fett was going to get his own "Star Wars Story" film until Solo didn't do well at the box office. I could see him getting his own TV series instead. But first they're doing the live action Obi-Wan series. I really want to know what that's going to be about ... Obi-Wan hiding out in the desert, keeping an eye on little Luke, fending off monsters and scumbags? I feel like there's not a huge amount of storytelling potential for Obi-Wan between the PT and OT. Unless he secretly leaves Tatooine on occasion to do secret Jedi stuff.

Given that one of the most epic episodes of The Mandalorian so far was set almost entirely on Tatooine, the potential was certainly there for a decent movie.

It's a shame that they backed off the Star Wars Stories concept after one poor performer.
