General Disclaimer: We don't have the books yet, I am not precognitive, the game is still in development, etc. That said:
I have pinned down a name for the 4e style. Think about this:
Roles are clearly defined. Characters are clearly heroic from the get-go and able to do dashing, daring things. Combat is mobile. Fighters and wizards are defined by using a few favored tools (weapon styles, and orb/wand/rubber ducky/whatever, respectively). Class abilities are flashy. No one spends a lot of time simply healing or aiding other party members. Points of light in a world of darkness.
In other words:
