The Player's Pledge

My newest player came up with this idea and presented it to me the day she was voted in as a full member of the Sanguine Sentinels game club. I thought it was funny so I'm posting it here. I think she may already be my favorite player...

“Players Pledge”

“You are right, I am wrong…
You are wise, I am ignorant…
You are the word, I am the reader…
You are Handsome, I am ugly…
You deserve worship, I deserve scorn…
You are the Power, I submit to your whims…
I appeal to your benefice with offerings of sweet wines and monies…


…please don’t kill my character.

The second to the last line reffers to the "Treasure Chest" we keep in which players add sweets, chips, and bottled waters so that we have a constant supply of tasty badness to partake of during our games.

That's clever - but if it were me I'd have to omit the handsome/ugly part. Not so sure about the worship/scorn bit, either.

It's mostly annoying when they do it when my wife around. Explaining the whole GMing thing to her gets to be embarrasing when that happens...
