The (prestige) class that HASN'T been crafted yet ...

A Mime: Can't talk, but can mimic anything action or object with cunning ease. Who needs to talk when you can perform everything.

A true jack of all trades would be hard- but possibly take the Rogue class keep saves, HD, and such. Instead of all those special automatic feats or special abilities though, the Jack picks a feat every level. Limitation it has to be from a different treeline. So they pick point blank shot at level one, they can't pick rapid shot level two. With that restriction and if not way overboard maybe even increase the skill points at each level, but lower the max ranks at each level.
Forcing someone to become a master of all trades, all skills.

We included a new base class, the master, in the Dragonlance "War of the Lance" sourcebook from Sovereign Press. You choose a primary focus (Craft, Knowledge, Perform or Profession) and pick up knacks, bonus feats, a lot of skills, etc. It's ideal for those characters like Theros Ironfeld (the silver-armed smith from the Dragonlance novels) or academics, non-spellcasting bards, innkeepers etc. A PC expert class, in many ways.

Cheers,
Cam
Cool. And yet I curse you for snuffing out the brief satisfaction I had at having an original idea. :D

Seriously, that sounds like just what I'm looking for. It annoys me that if I want an NPC to really excel at his craft he has to know how to fight or cast spells as well. Thanks.

Maybe he doesn't get any weapon proficiencies but at 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 6th level his non-proficiency penalty is lessened by one.

All skills are class skills, but max rank is character level +1.

Stealth specialist who gets techniques to Hide and Move Silently without being a Ninja or having Shadow pets. Hide in Plain Sight, Take 10 even when under stressful conditions, constantly taking 10 to sneak, and able to sneak at full spead.

Alert Guard who gets techniques to help Spot, Listen, and/or Search. Vision and hearting related abilities with skill checks, darkvision, or spell-like abilities (such as Trueseeing).

Low-powered magic prestige classes for variant campaigns that don't use standard Wizards, etc. Similar to Advanced Classes presented in D20 Modern.

- Olympic athlete - I use "Olympic" only as a short-form for getting across the scope of athlete I'm talking about here. A warrior-type PrC that specializes not in combat ability, but pure physical/athletic prowess: performing feats of strength, endurance, speed, and so on.
- sea mage - Something for pirates and sailors who are primarily arcane spellcasters.

Relics and Rituals has something like the Sea Mage

RElics and Rituals: Olympus has the Olympic Athlet class

The Ubiquist. Weak everywhere, except that she can create simulacra (as the spell) of herself at will and re-absorbate them into herself as well. Have an upper limit of, say, one simulacrum per ubiquist level, or something like that. Hivemind between her and each of her active simulacra.

The "Pygmalion." An artsy class, like the Bard, this one makes sculptures and paintings, and bring them to life. Can make portals to other places by painting a landscape, can create beings by drawing or sculpting them.

This is the one that popped up in my head, too.

When I wanted to do this, I did Rogue/Thief-Acrobat.

Here is an idea,

Master Villain Prc

The master villain is the master of dastardly plots and nefarious schemes. He has a master plan to dominate an area, world, or even entire planes of existance.

He is a genius and bends his intellect to power mongering, gathering like minded henchmen and vast wealth to use for his schemes.

Requirements
18 Intelligence
4 ranks in Intimidate
4 ranks in Bluff
4 ranks in diplomacy
4 ranks in Knowledge religion, geography, or planes
Leadership Feat
5 loyal henchmen
Appropriate base of operations (keep, tower, ship, cave complex, hollowed out planetary object, fortress on a deserted island inside a live volcano etc
Life defining moment such as hideous scarring, chemical accident, ignored by a good looking hero of the opposite sex once

Weapon proficiencies
Spiked chain, spiked (pref electrified) gauntlet, whip, gargantuan siege weaponry

Class skills
Bluff, intimidate, diplomacy, escape artist, craft: metalworking, knowledge: architecture, planes, religion, ancient history, spelljamming, arcana, use magic device, spellcraft, concentration, profession: politics, survival

Level advancement note, the Master villains level progression is tied in with his plots. For every 1000 people he plans to have under his control, his base must be worth this amount times 100 in gp. This serves to impress the heroes who will come to kill him, and to store his vast collection of obscure death and torture devices.

Level Title
1 Misunderstood guy that everyone picks on
2 Angst ridden guy
3 Scheming guy
4 Evil guy with a plan
5 Cackling guy
6 Walking treasure
7 Powermonger
8 BBEG
9 Master Villain
10 Super Villain

For each level a Villain gets 10 henchmen and 1 leutenant. At levels 5 and 10 he gets a right hand man. henchman seldom have names, and are often called by numbers or rank (private, security, red t-shirt etc). Ranked followers have names and often have levels in the villain prc also.

Bab and saves continue on from whichever class they had before taking this Prc. If they had prior skill in backstabing this also continues using the same progression.

To advance a level in this class, you must have the experience points, and also the following.
Wealth equal to level x 100,000
A plan to dominate intelligent beings through ecomomics, military, or magic equal to level x 10,000. This plan does not have to have any actual chance of succeeding. Bonus exp may be awarded for originality and lack of sanity.

One that I think would be interesting that I haven't seen would be a Master of Hounds, who has a pack of dogs that are special companions (like a bonded mount or animal companion)...

Look around for a PrC which Isida made specifically for Donner Hund, a character in a PbP game here, a halfling who rides a hound and has a pack. It's for halflings but could easily be adjusted. It's been done ;-)
