The Shadows

"I'm fine, Take some men and stop that thing before it hurts anybody else!" Jericho gets up to one knee, trying to regain his breath and shout to the agent. At least... it felt like shouting, though his voice was probably barely audible apart from the wheezing. He made a waving gesture towards the beast, making his meaning clear as he aimed a second shot to incapacitate it before it escaped, staying on one knee to steady his hand.

Health: 7
Damage: 4 bashing
Dice pool: 6 [3 dexterity, 3 firearms, 1 specialty, 3 equipment(magnum), -1 Damage penalty -3 Head shot]

Also, probably should've posted it last time, but in addition to 3 defense, Jericho has an armour rating of 1 vs most attacks (2 Bulletproof) from his kevlar. Oh well, I'll have to remember it for next time.

The monster crashes through the door, destroying the doorframes with it, and takes a couple more bullet-scrapes. As Smith reaches the door "hole" you just manage to see the beast through another hole it left in the wall of the house. It is running with full speed across the yard with speed matching a car. The agents and cops take chase but have no hope of catching it.

Couple of agents (Jones and Brown as Smith knows) come in from the remains of the window and look around. Jones, a tall man with a compassionate attitude comes to help Jericho up. "What the hell was it? It took down Happy." He says to Smith, referring to a fellow agent with the nickname.

[sblock=OOC]I took the vest into account Jemal ;).[/sblock]

Agent Smith

DJ is happy to see his fellow agents arrive and puts down his weapon. But what they say concerns him. "Took down. You don't mean... Damn, not Happy, he got a seven month old at home. Please say that he is alife!"[sblock=Blackrat]Hope you don't mind me adding some background ;) [/sblock]

Still shaking in reaction, Angelina risks poking her head out from her improvised cover when she doesn't hear the...whatever it is. Her cheeks are red with shame, but she keeps rationalizing her response to herself. She's unarmed. There was nothing she could have done against that beast! Even so, she feels guilty for having panicked.

Seeing the spook convention by the remains of the door, Angie demands in a voice that's higher pitched than she intended, "What was THAT?!"

"He was, barely, when we gave chase. Johnson and Shirley are looking aft..." Jones is interrupted by the doctor. Agent Brown moves to reassure her. "It was a... badly disfigured grizzly, ma'am." It doesn't sound like he's even convinced himself though. "Yeah, that's it. Nothing to worry about anymore."

Dj

"It doesn't matter what it was, ma'am. What matters is your skills in first aid. There is a good man down this way, bleeding his life out." DJ says as he looks at the spooked woman. Give her mind something to do, before it snaps. "Brown, can you show her the way?" He addresses his fellow agent.

Jericho managed to get back to his feet finally, heading over to the hole to look out. Shaking his head, he turned back to them "Yeah, sure, A grizzly." His sarcasm fades when he eventually clues in from Smith's words that the man who was attacked outside is still alive. "Did it get anybody else?"

Cool, blackrat, I just hate making the DM have to remember all this on his own.

"That was no..." Angelina starts to accuse, but Smith's distraction works exactly as planned. Her face goes blank for a moment, and then firms with resolve.

"Yes, take me to him. And send someone to get a first aid kit, I don't care from where!"

She turns to follow Agent Brown.

Dj

"Yes, you are right. Hey Jon, I hope you still have the car keys, There have to be a first aid kit in the trunk. Hurry, please!" DJ tells the other Agent after Angies response.
After he and the detective are the only remaining ones, he addresses him: "Let's talk. What do you think this was? And nice shot, by the way."

Jericho nods to the Agent "You really don't know? Aint that.. thing why you feds're here? Why not ask your boss?" Thomas sighs and shakes his head as he holsters his gun finally "OK, forgetting inter-departmental rivalry for a minute. That was no freakin bear. What I do know is that it took a .44 in the mouth and barely cared, plus your shot didn't phase it at all. What it LOOKED like to me was... oh never mind, it's crazy. What do YOU know about this case?"
