The Stuff of Dreams (Orsal Judging)

Devlin nods at Ryland, acknowledging he heard the diminutive investigator.

ooc: so, we're off to the office now?

Ryland whispers again, "The spell works both ways, you can whisper back. We need to get a messenger to Vagan, set up the meeting to exchange, the orb, and figure out how we're going to get Vagan to hear the confession. Any ideas?"

OOC: I think they have to negotiate an exchange with Fatwon before leaving for the office.

ooc: I'm formulating. :p

Devlin leads the way back into his room where Jobe & Fatwon are waiting. He doesn't feel like wasting any more time on niceties and formalities.

"How long will you give us to produce the orb?"

Jobe looked at Fatwon, and it seemed that the big half-orc had to try hard to suppress a snicker. Trying his best to be nonchalant, he addressed Devlin: "Well, I would think that if you had it at all, you'd have no difficulty producing it by, say, tomorrow evening? I suppose we could conduct business at that time, unless you'd prefer earlier arrangements."

Ryland follows Devlin. Upon hearing Devlin's question he thinks, I was thinking we were going to suggest the time, especially since we have the orb in hand. Hope he knows what he's doing.

Well, that's more time than I thought they'd give us, Devlin thinks to himself. "Tomorrow evening will be fine. I would like your word that neither you nor any associates of yours try to contact us or interfere with our daily business between now and then. And Brigit is off-limits as well. We'll deal with her on our own."

Kamdar scowled at hearing Brigit's name, but agreed to Devlin's terms: "So long as you bring us the orb tomorrow, you may do as you wish. I look forward to seeing you again!"

"UGH-HUM", Ryland clears his throat. "We've discussed the when, we haven't discussed the where. We want somewhere neutral and public. I don't want to get stuck with a poisoned dagger."

Kamdar shook his head. "I'm afraid that's quite out of the question. This is as good a place as any, unless you'd prefer my room", he declared. "And as for your safety, all we want is the orb and an hour or two of grace...had we wished to harm you, we could have done that yesterday."

Devlin nods, "Very well then, we will meet again tomorrow evening in this room and, until then we all agree to stay out of each others' way. I'd show you to the door at this point, but you obviously know where it is."

Devlin waits for Jobe and Kamdar to leave before saying or doing anything else.
