"Oh, think nothing of it", the innkeeper interjected.

The innkeeper nodded and replied, "I'll do that."

The common room was busy but not boisterous: obviously, there were more guests than had rooms. Most of the patrons appeared to be merchants; apparently, the Tower Inn was a good place to meet and do business. One individual stood out to Devlin like the proverbial jewel in a goat's behind: the baby-faced young man who had tried to bully Ryland earlier in the day. The thug appeared to be scanning the room for someone to fight, and convincing himself that nobody he saw was his equal.[/sblock]

Devlin decided that although adventuring was the right vocation for him, there certainly was a bit of money to be made as a merchant. At least, that would be the case if half the conversation that he overheard could be believed.

The odd young man continued sizing up everyone who entered the common room. Devlin couldn't recall when he'd ever seen someone with so large a chip on their shoulder. Still, he kept his words and fists to himself...although he seemed to find the most amazing reasons to scowl at everyone in his vicinity.

He was not a popular dinner partner, and had a considerable stretch of table to himself.[/sblock][sblock=Ryland, Enialis: ]

Enialis, I think we should track down Brigit and find out what she's up to
The horseman was silent, seemingly preoccupied in thought. Ryland began to wonder if he'd been heard.[/sblock]

"Enialis! Wake up youngster, Its time to go", Ryland says as he grabs the large man's arm.
"If I remember, she's at the Tower. Do you remember where Devlin said he left her"
Ryland heads off a little less confidantly than he wants to for the tower Inn, hoping the horseman will speak up if he remembers differently.

OOC: I'll look throught the thread and see if Devlin told us where Brigit is. If I can't find anything Ryland will change his mind and head to Archer's wife.

Ooc: I'd say that Ryland learned everything he needs to know from post #32. Enialis wouldn't necessarily know as many details as Ryland, since Devlin started the tale before Enialis arrived. But Ryland knows that Oshally is staying at the Coronet, not the Tower, having moved abruptly in the middle of the night.[/sblock]

At first the waitress had a surprised look on her face, then she smirked. "That's a good one, hon. So, what'll you have?"[/sblock]

After walking a block beside the young cavalier, Ryland slaps his forehead in a Eureka! moment. " We gotta head back the other way. I forgot Devlin said she was at the Coronet." The gnome turns on his heel and heads to the Coronet.[/SBLOCK]
