Heh, cool. Where abouts in Montreal are you located? I live on the border of NDG and Hampstead. :D

Hey everybody!

Wow, we're actually 3 in montreal: I live right in front of U de M (moving soon to Chicoutimi)! How unlikely is that!
;)

Cheers,

SG

Heh. I used to live on Darlington, close to the HEC building a few years ago. This is really freaky. ;)

If it's not too late, I'd like to make a few last minute changes to my character. I've been looking over my intended advancement and it seems I won't be able to meet the minimal cross-class skill requirements for my Prestige Class without a few extra skill points. So if it's okay, I'd like to lower my strength and increase my intelligence to gain a few extra skill points so that I can more easily qualify down the road. I may also swap my starting feat after a little more consideration. K?

That's fine. I need to see all changes on the Rogue's Gallery thread before your first In Character post. I am sending out the initial emails today/tonight, so please update your characters as soon as possible so we can get started.

In terms of your IC posts, these can start as soon as you read the initial email from me. The cool part is that you (as the players) will be in the driver's seat to start the game. The initial email will give you a few clues, and you will take that and tell me what you want to do. It will make more (or maybe less) sense when you receive the email from me.

Remember, the characters will be acting independently in the beginning, so you won't be interacting with each other until you meet up. That said, try not to read the others' posts if they don't pertain to your character or, at a minimum, try not to use their information/circumstances to color what you do with your character. Once everyone is together, things will become clearer.

I think that will do for now. Unless you have any objections, I've purchased a 50 gp Animal trainer's kit from the Arms & Equipment Guide. It grants a +2 bonus to Handle Animal checks and weighs 5 lb. I also bought a muzzle and leash to replace the need for a bit & briddle, which I think makes more sense for a riding dog.

I have sent all of the intro emails. Please read it carefully. You may want to keep it, because there is a strong possibility you will need to refer to it again. Questions about the message itself should be emailed to me if it pertains only to your message, or to this board if it is a more general question. Any actions you wish to take should be posted to the IC thread.

and sent him northwest and towards the river, where he would eventually find Cadwynn's Pass.

Insight, I think you may be confusing east and west. Jacoby is heading east into the mountains. Actually, looking at the map of Derev that you sent me, I notice that there are snowflake symbols on the southern mountains ranges. Is Derev perhaps in the southern hemisphere where the temperature gets colder as you head south rather than north? If so, I might have to change my plan and head south to find the snows. Then Again, maybe the map is drawn with south towards the top...

To the west was a small Mitean village, of which Jacoby did not know the name.

Is it a human village or another halfling community? Is it unusual that Jacoby doesn't know a neighbouring village or is Amberlea just really insular? :o

Cool intro James, your character's family is huge! It's nice to see another PC on the move even if neither of us have a destination in mind. :D
