Seeing how everyone is set to go again, Rogier takes his horse and rides to the front of the group again, leading the caravan.

OOC: I'm still here, but I'm going to be a bit busy for the next week or so with Holiday visitors and visiting. Does anyone mind if we take a little break until the New Year?

I don't mind taking a break at all.. but it would be nice if we could sort of round up that scene with a DM Post of 'you pack up the croc, saddle up the horses and head south, etc..' and start it up anew with a new scene being introduced by you with 'you set up your camp for the night.. ' or a 'your horse gets stuck in the mud..' or something like that.

It's a been kinda tricky for me so far in this adventure to figure out when the curtain closes on one act and when it opens up on a new event...and I'd hate to leave this pending without any sort of closure

I'll be around this week, but probably won't be posting much between Christmas and New Year's. I agree with Zweischneid, though, it would be nice to get to a good stopping point.

It doesn't take much longer to find the 'hye hille'. Within an hour, the trees break up, and you step into a marshy clearing half a mile across. Straight ahead is a round hill sitting in the middle of the lcearing like an immense turtle shell. At the very peak of the hill stands a scraggled and blackened tree. It has obviously been dead for decades if not centuries; it is certainly surprising that it has not yet fallen and decayed away.
