Pbartender said:"Norman," he scowls ignoring the proferred hand.
Not knowing if the handshake was refused because of the youth's generally poor demeanor or because of a simple breech of human etiquette (but suspecting the former), Oirhandir withdraws his hand after a pause. "Well, Norman", he speaks, "thank you for bringing the animals to the inn today. I hope that you find the rest of this expedition more pleasant than your labors so far this day."
Thinking that there was nothing to be done for the moment to cheer up the lad, Oirhandir set about ensuring that the band had enough provisions for the task at hand. "It could take as much as two days to reach the mill", he thought, "and another two to reach the hill. Four days out and four days back...and counting Norman, we number six."

"It isn't anything like flying on a Gryffon like last time I went on an adventure, but certainly is good to be back in the saddle again. I suggest we waste no time and get ready to move, the further we can get today the better.
Oirhandir sighs. "I am anxious to be on my way as well", he reflects, "but rushing off only to run out of food or water before we get there isn't my style of travelling!" He calls out to the man, "One moment, Rogier. Let me see to it that we've enough supplies to make the trip, then I'll be happy to join you."
He quickly counts the mounts, then starts inspecting the packs. Surely there would be enough to last this band for a week and day.
OoC - I'm assuming we have 6 horses, a mule, and Nibbles, let me know if Oirhandir arrives at a different number. And he's looking for rations for 48 man-days, enough grain to supplement the animals for that time (he's assuming they will graze when resting), and enough water-carrying capacity to get the 5 adventurers through 4 days, since the river water is probably drinkable, but the swamp water is questionable. If he can find these things, he's good to go.
