Kobold Avenger

I guess they could revise the Loxodon from Ravnica as they're very close to the Loxo from FR
They could...but if they had any Species plans, they would likely have trumpeted thst fact. Until they give an indication otherwise, doesnseem likely. They haven't out a book woth a new Species option, other than the PHB, in over two years now.I guess they could revise the Loxodon from Ravnica as they're very close to the Loxo from FR
Shadow weave was an alternate way of casting spells created by Shar not shadow magic like the old spells. It's supposed to be a new kind of magic, plus we gave Shadow magic in 5e, Shadow Sorcerer and certain Illusion Spells.
I mean even the titles of the two books were placeholders, and D&D Direct Video & D&D Beyond Article didn't even agree on the placeholder name for the second book, & the video doesn't mention that the general Setting lore update is in the player book not the DM book, but the Beyond Article did.
So no one should treat the features of these books listed in video & article as definitive.
It's possibly they hadn't made final decisions on the Artificer or Species when it was time for the announcement.
Thoughts?
I guess that announcement answers this speculation. I don't see how anyone would have expected something other than Eberron.
The vibe fir the Eberron book is thst is smaller and cheaper, the return of smaller supplements? No one knew their was two secret unannounced books for 2025, like it's a crazy packex year now.

Possibly! The contents as described, and the status as a "Companion" to Rising from the Last War, makes a smaller softcover seem possible for the first time in....a long time.Maybe soft cover?
We now know, per the front page, that they meant "new yo 5E", as they are talking about fhe return of circle casting from the 3E FRCS. @Henadic TheologianI will point out that if it was in 3rd edition, it’s technically not new.
