Just as democraticaly take a decade to take a bad decision makes it inefficient.

Sure. So what? Doesn't change my point that authoritarianism isn't just flat out more efficient.

But in games, a healthy mix of authoritarianism and democracy is required.

Those aren't the only options available. There's lots of different authority structures that can be used for games. Our political discourse tends to reduce to discussion in terms of those two forms, but that doesn't mean you have to do that for your game.

@Vaalingrade You must not have done very many group projects in your school days.
Why do you think I hate people who think they're in charge for arbitrary reasons (we met at his house) so much?

His name was Scott and his egg drop parachute idea was stupid and got us a C for breaking the egg while the glider the rest of us wanted tested perfectly and also had the potential to buzz the elementary school playground next door.

Look, people who are in the know recognize that that speed is everything - speed's the name of the game.
Tell that to the people suffering under hasty Brexit-based agreements cobbled together by the Boris Johnson government. If speed's what "people in the know" know, then they're pretty ignorant.

If you'd seized control in an authoritarian fashion you would have been better served then. I'm glad we agree on something.

I really don't want to dis democracy, but if you want to prove it produces decent results, Brexit might not be the best example to use...
