Oh, and has anyone actually received a response (Negative or Positive)? Technically speaking the first week of august ended on the 3rd.

Back on topic, my guess is that WotC is contacting the team writers to make sure they're still teams, since it's been a while since the proposals went out. Perhaps they want to make sure that if Joe, Bob, and Bill were the original writing team, that Joe, Bob, and Bill haven't had a falling-out.
