After Firefly and Farscape getting the short end of the scifi stick its high time we get some good news!!! :D

Seems I am out of the loop again. I didn't think Alias was in jeopardy of not being renewed. I had thought the added boost of star power (the film role in DD and many television appearences of the star including the talk show circuit and SNL) clearly indicated that Alias was being fully backed for renewal by the network.

Well, it wasn't really in danger of not coming back but it's also not a hugely popular show for ABC as far as I know. I was worried that after all the bad luck of this TV season that another of my favs would get axed. It's just good to know considering that Buffy is gone, as well as Farscape, Firefly and possibly Angel that Alias will still be around no matter what.

Nonsense my friend. Alias was one of the three working dramas that ABC had, and it even showed straight after the Superbowl. I just wonder when the DVD will come out :) (Speaking of which, Dark Angel Season 1 is available on DVD as well)

I don't watch it regularly yet, but I hear (and have seen) good things. I've caught episodes of a few new shows and have also been impressed by The Agency

I've heard a lot of good things about this show, but have never watched it (although I certainly can appreciate Ms. Garner's... erm... presence in commercials I've seen). How hard would it be to jump into the series at this point? Will there be a lot of back-plot that will keep me in the dark?

There is alot that has conspired. A good jumping-on point would be the Superbowl episode. The whole show changed at that point. There should be repeats just around the corner, tho. ABC tends to show stuff again over the summer and on ABC family.
