D&D 5E They Broke Arcane Archer!!!

Thank you so much for your sympathy, it was a traumatic experience and it might not even be over yet. First I had to get a pencil, then I drew a line through "magic".

;)

How do you think I feel? Last week I made a thread about classes you wanted to play and arcane archer was at the top of the list. Now? I can live with losing $50. But I can’t live with shattered hopes and dreams. This destroys me. It’s unforgivable.

A pencil you say? But I don’t want to mar up my book. Just ignore all those AD&D books that I colored as a kid on my shelf....

I feel your pain. In the age of digital gaming who actually owns pencils anymore?

If you want to see bad editing, look at the first printing of the 4e core books. All mistakes in this edition together do not match those of one of those books.
And even then it is less LAZY editing, but time constraints.
Sometimes things get changed very late and even though you proofreed you miss something. That is totally normal.

Simple solution is to stop changing things so late...

Cool, you want a slower release schedule with more costly books. I disagree, but it's good to understand where you're coming from.

No I think he's arguing for lower quality. If a better design solution comes up, ignore it, because it might introduce those horrid typos.

Really they should have just proofread the snot out of the UA articles instead of risking errors by tinkering with design. Amirite?

The UA arcane archer was better designed IMO. Now he just feels like a bad battlemaster with an added word that breaks the class that had to immediately be errated out.

at least in the case of the arcane archer if they had left it alone instead of changing it last minute then they'd have saved money and had a better designed product that was clear of typos.

Actually it's the last minute change that caused problems. If they hadn't made the last minute change they could have released the book faster
