Nahas I said, everyone on either schedule is better than a mixed schedule,
It 100% arbitrarily paces your resource use. It’s just a longer arbitrary pace.I just prefer the long rest schedule because it does not arbitrarily pace my resource use
A long rest allows you to practically respec. A short rest forces you to cobble together partial resources.you need to evaluate the same when everything is on a long rest
It'd be a start. Revert to D&D Next.You want 5e to stop being 5e?
You need to evaluate everything the same instead of dynamically evaluating things based on their relative value and recovery speed.you need to evaluate the same when everything is on a long rest
I agree in theory, I disagree about the impactIf changing four makes the game more engaging, then four. No question.
Agreed. The longer the schedule, the more flexibility in between, the better. The more granular, the worse. It 100% arbitrarily paces your resource use. It’s just a longer arbitrary pace.
so does not resting and making do with the resources you chose to not yet spendA long rest allows you to practically respec. A short rest forces you to cobble together partial resources.
yes, recovery speed gets dropped from the equation, freeing you up to more freely allocate your resources throughout the day. Short rests just add restrictions, nothing more. You need to evaluate everything the same instead of dynamically evaluating things based on their relative value and recovery speed.
