D&D (2024) They butchered the warlock in the new packet

Where are we, kindergarten where I can send you to your room or something? You would not listen anyway, and I do not bother trying
to clarify, because apparently this can be taken personally…

I did not mean to imply that you behaved childish, I meant to say me telling you to shut up would have been childish on my part and you would have no reason to do it anyway, so I do not attempt to tell you this in the first place

You know, when a back and forth between two (or more) posters gets to the point where it is mostly a debate regarding who is being more nasty or disingenuous, it should probably just stop.

It's really tedious when these forums turn into the text equivalent of listening to your neighbors fight all the time. Take it private, you shouldn't need an audience for this.

For me, when a thread devolves to the point where it's just the same 2 or 3 posters going back and forth incessantly with lengthy posts, that's when I just give up on the thread entirely. Especially ones like this where we're at 28 pages and counting in only a couple of days. I have better things to do with my time.

if the group does not let you short rest or long rest, that us on the group, not the game.

The game’s fault is having different classes on different schedules.
Yeah I'm not sure why either but I assume it is because otherwise you just have daily or at-will and that too could have balance problems.

I am also not enthusiastic about the new warlock, but the newbie spellcaster was always a false claim IMO. Because you have to be very resourceful with your 2 spell slots
In my experience you need to be resourceful with Invocations. Which really need filtering (WotC have done the first step by rolling most of the genuinely bad ones into Mystic Arcanum)
and you have a lot of decisions to make that can easily result in a bad build,
This is a problem. It's also one shared by all caster classes, and especially with the other arcanists. But yes I agree there is one there. But I tend to help newbies with their builds.
