D&D 5E Thief Archetype Using ANY magic device?

So just wanted to clarify the 13th level Thief ability to use any magic device regardless of race or class. RAW seems pretty straightforward on this but just to make sure, a rogue can use a Holy Sword? Robes of the Archmagi? Anything? Reason I'm asking is I was going to have an NPC who passes himself off as a wizard, but really he's a rogue who managed to stumble upon a fantastic cache of magic items left from a long dead wizard. Wands, robes, Iron flasks, that sort of thing. He basically does high end magic shows and then robs powerful people, although I'm not 100% sure exactly what his end game will be but it sounded like an interesting idea I'd like to run with.

The thief ignores class/race/level requirements. The DMG elaborates a little and says that if it matters, UMD uses a +0 spellcasting modifier but you do get to use your proficiency bonus.

In practice, it's mostly just wands/staffs that have class requirements, and I can't even think of an item with a race or level requirement (maybe some elven stuff?). Some items have alignment requirements, but UMD doesn't actually say it bypasses those.

Man, there are tons. Candles of Invocation, Crystal Balls, Bard Instruments, Holy Sword I mentioned above, Dwarven Throwing Hammer, Talismans of Good/Evil, some cool stuff a 13th Rogue can put to use there.

EDIT TO ADD - And lets not forget about scrolls.
