All kidding aside though, I do have a complaint. The name. It's just so software-geeky. Couldn't they have just called it 3E Revised or something? Heck, I'd have preferred "4th Edition" over this ".5" nonsense.

Yeah, lets start calling it 3ER! No sense in including the whole word revised, 3ER carries the flavor much better.

Anyone need a bandaid?

I'm happy that Ambidexterity and Two Weapon Fighting are being collapsed into a single feat, but I'm annoyed that the penalties for fighting without that feat remain -6/-10, instead of being changed to -6/-6. With the latter, it's at least possible to try to fight with two weapons without the feat. At -6/-10 they might as well say "it isn't possible to TWF without the feat, sorry."

I voted no new class skills for sorcerers and sorcerers can't Quicken.

While I am unsure about many of the PrCs, I consider all PrCs optional anyway. (Don't the rules specifically say they are optional?) I prefer them to be campaign specific, and they certainly should require DM approval.

On the complaining topic, I have no problem with good-natured, constructive criticism. In fact, this is probably what convinced WoTC to revise the rules. On many topics, they seem to have heard the complaints, considered them, and made some changes accordingly. For example, bards in general, Harm and Hold Person.

Upon review, it seems that I am happy with just about all of the changes of which I am aware. The only areas where I am less than happy is where I thought there should be a change and one was not made.

I actually much prefer 3ER to 3.5. Anyone else?
I prefer 3er, or D&Dr. I believe I saw SKR or Monte use one of these on his boards and thought it sounded better than "3.5." YMMV, I guess.

D&DER?

No no, you have to take the cue from Microsoft. Since there was no D&D 3.1, we have to call the Revised D&D, D&D 95 :D (D&D Xp would work too!).

I voted the last option.
