Thongs

OK, I've got to ask this, somewhere: Are thongs uncomfortable?

You can't help but notice, nowadays, that you never see pantylines anymore. Women's "lower" clothing (pants, skirts, etc.) are tight, smooth, and sometimes very thin. The thongs are obvious by the lack of pantylines. You don't even have to be *looking* there to notice it. And sometimes you can *see* the thong (either through light-colored pants, or above the top of their belt line).

I noticed a waitress in a restaurant (serving the table across from me, so I full view of her bottom, though I wasn't particularly trying to look) must have been wearing a thong. It's not the first time I've noticed this in restaurants, but it is the first time I considered this thought: such workers are constantly walking around; doesn't having something. . . "there". . . bother/chap/scratch/you-know after a few quick trips back and forth?

I know this thread could easily devolve (or evolve) into cheap sophomoric humor. I'm not opposed to the jokes that spring to mind, but let's keep this grandma friendly, OK? I'm serious with my questions on this. I've never worn such a garment, and my wife has never worn one (for any length of time ;-), but maybe some of the women here have. Or maybe the women here and the men here know someone they can ask about it? (I noticed my wife's best friend apparently wearing one, once. But I sure as hell didn't and won't ever ask about that about *her*.)

And, as an afterthought that just came to me: do men where thongs? I've never noticed, but men don't usually wear clothing that shows the signs (or lack of signs) so easily.

I don't just to mention, but I do know that they have men's thongs available for purchase. I guess they're comfortable otherwise girls would probably not wear them.

According to my wife, and ....err...other women I have known in the past, they are suprisingly comfortable.

I, however, would never dear try the male equivalent. Just don't think it would work right.

Right! You know, like high heels, push-up bras, and panty hose.

Because women would never place looking good over their personal comfort.

Hey - if you have to say that, please don't link the picture. This is true whether the photo is sexually explicit or just offensive (like that one.) Thanks!

My wife wears them all the time and feels that they are quite comfortable. She works in an office and wears a lot of pant and skirt suits.

Some do. I suggest if you want the answer to that question, just do a little research. You can probably pick up a cheap man-thong for a few bucks. Wear it around for a few days, come back here, and tell us all if it's uncomfortable or not. :D
