Those DND minis

THe mind flayer could get you a decent army of humanoid men if you go to www.maxminis.com and trade. Right now everyone seems to want a mind flayer, but if you don't you can get a lot for it. Also a lot of info there on the product- no giants but you can see pics of Ogres and such.

Got a couple more today. The rares were Barghest and Displacer Beast. Not too shabby, its too bad I can't use them right now. My players a pretty high up there in levels and would eat them for breakfast. I hope to get some higher CR creatures soon.

*sigh*

I am hopelessly addicted to these little buggers. I picked up a starter and 3 boosters (@ 20% off from my FLGS) and was quite impressed with the minis. Sure, my friends and I could do a better paint job but metal minis are no fun at the gaming table. The rares were quite cool. I could go for more undead (need more undead!!) even if they are just more of what I have now.

My goal is to eventually have every core race/class/gender combo, an army of undead plus a few more small hordes of critters. I'll probably buy a few packs a month to feed this habit and will shell out more for new expansions. When/if my local store starts selling individual minis I will be a happy guy. When the ebay prices drop, I'll probably look there as well.

Oh joy, WotC is getting more of my money. Damn them....

Dracuwulf - I think I'm going to keep the mind flayer. Unless someone offers me hard cash :) I heard that some of the mini's where already going for $35 bucks on Ebay.

Posted my comments on the d20/OGL D&D mini's thread, but wanted to mention that I think the scale is small enough so you could use MageKnight Dungeon plastic tiles: I believe two D&D mini's should fit just fine onto a typical MKD tile.

Oh -- And if anyone in the SF Bay Area wants to trade their template tiles for some old d20 stuff, drop me a line. (:
