'Til we're old and grey

So, we're all pretty much role-playing fans here. Will we still be playing when we're in the old folks home? I hope I will. When i eventually get to my pension, that's going to be a heck of a lot of free time to occupy :)

Incidently, who's the oldest RP'er here? who's the oldest known RP'er?

My friends and I used to joke about chasing each other around the old folk's home in wheelchairs, arguing about Why the DM killed off so and so's character. "I've had him since we were in high school!!!"
We're in our 30's now, so we are on our way.

Not the oldest, not the greyest but a little of both ;)
36 yo and not seeing me quit anytime soon. I quit once for wife #1, now that she is gone, wife #2 (still taking apps) will understand and not stand in my way of F-U-N  .

I think this has been mentioned on these boards before, but I see nursing homes as the ideal gaming environment. All those card tables in the rec rooms. Lots of free time. Everyone is basically housemates so no one has to drive far to make the game.

From the bulletin board:

REC ROOM A SCHEDULE FOR 7/10/2053
8:00-10:00 - Miniature Painting
10:00-12:00 - Magic: The Gathering
12:00-6:00 - Tomb of Horrors

:D

When I was but a tender lad of ten, I quit playing Pretend Games in order to upgrade to Pretend Games With Rules. Nowadays, a do a bit of both. There is literally no period of time in my life when roleplaying wasn't a part of it. It's like breathing.

When I stop breathing, I'll stop roleplaying. Maybe.

I don't know if I will be playing but still be picking up products.

my blood surgar was low so i killed your character
my batteries died in my hearing aid I didn't hear you say dragon.
What why is a red wagon attacking us. I had a red wagon when I was small used to racing down dead man's hill with gynax and piratecat when he was only a little kitten. Terrible how he ended up. killed when his gaming supplies toppled on his iron lung.

I've also learned you never quit for a woman. She makes you quit, thats just the tip of the iceburg man.

My wife is cool, she's not a gamer but is supportive of my hobby.

In my early 30's now and plan on playing as long as I can find other gamers.

My wife hates gaming and all things about it. She tried to get me to stop when we were dating. She thought getting married would get me to stop. She thought having a child would get me to stop, until I bluntly informed her otherwise.

May I still be playing when they release v13.5 .

May my gaming library constitute a fire hazard on my homeowners insurance.

May I be known universally amongst neighborhood children as "that old gamer guy."

May my last words be "my hit points just went to neg ten."

She can have my dice when she pries them from my cold, dead hand. And even then, I hope she has to succeed on a turning check to get them! :p

Isn't this how liches get started?
