To Catch a Crimelord, or Down the Rabbit Hole (garyh judging)

Georg here's a muffled sound coming from the underneith the creature. "I fine...don't worry about me." Just kidding. If Kruk is in a wrong spot I'm sure the evil dm will let me know. :)

Carolina fires another bolt at the shadowy creature and then looks around for something that ca provide a little cover.

[sblock=ooc]Running really shorton time right now. Sly flourish at +8, i believe. I don't have my character sheet with me, and don't have time to look it up on the wiki atm. Mind rolling for me?[/sblock]

Standing up at the bottom of the ledge, Raiyek immediately charges into the shadowy creature, delivering a solid cut with his sword. "Hold fast, Georg! Kruk and I will distract this monster." Calling out Palladys' name the elf stabs at the creature again, but it evades the thrust.

Yes your spirit fangs would trigger (at least I think so) as it the enemy technically didn't shift.

Note: I've set up a room in the Dice Room, under Crimelord. If IC is down please roll there. (the rolls i made for Grim are there right now)

Lith snapped at the fleeing shadow with a dozen jaws that closed on thin air. Lily's shadow pursued the other across the field though it seemed unable to latch on it, while Lily herself circled around the steep bank.

Sorry, been distracted the last few days.

Spirit's Fangs (You can roll the these in the future if you like to save time, as there is never a reason not to do it): 7 vs ref (miss I'm sure)

On to Lily's actual turn.

move: move to AR53, move Lith to AN55 (or where ever he can be adjacent to Kruk, Raiyek, and the monster if that's possible, I'm a little unclear as to everything's exact position at this point in the round)

standard: Watcher's Strike: 9 vs ref (another miss it seems)

[sblock=Lily's Spirit Primer (Please Read!)]
Spirit companions are complex critters, so this is to remind everyone, myself included, of the important points. The first three items are probably the most relevant to the other players.
  • Any of Lily's allies who start their turn adjacent to her spirit companion can shift 1 square as a free action, as the first action during their turn.
  • Any of Lily's allies adjacent to her spirit companion gain a +3 bonus to their damage rolls against bloodied enemies.
  • Lily's spirit companion occupies 1 square, Lily's allies may move through its space, but her enemies may not.
  • Lily's spirit companion may be targeted by melee and ranged attacks. If a single attack deals 10 or more damage to Lily's spirit companion it disappears and Lily takes 5 damage. Otherwise her spirit companion is unaffected by the attack.
  • Lily's spirit companion uses Lily's defenses.
  • Any enemy that leaves a square adjacent to Lily's spirit companion without shifting is subject its Spirit Fang attack. (This is an opportunity action and so may used once per turn, rather than once per round. Since there is no reason not to take this attack DM please feel free to roll them as necessary.)
  • Lily's spirit companion is unaffected by terrain and environmental phenomena.

Grim growls deeply as the cold touches his bones, and his blades flurry again, the first stab of his enchanted bastard sword strikes down the necromancer. Grim draws life from the man as he drops to the ground.

Carolina fires another bolt at the shadowy creature and then looks around for something that can provide a little cover. The bolt strikes into its mass.

Lith snapped at the fleeing shadow with a dozen jaws that closed on thin air. Lily's shadow pursued the other across the field though it seemed unable to latch on it, while Lily herself circled around the steep bank.

Georg blocks one tentacle with an invisible shield, but the other two hold him fast. He grunt, summons additional nerve and lashes out with a wave of thunder to the left side of the creature.

As Georg begins to draw upon his inner reserves one of the tendrils snaps out and drains him of that reserve.

[sblock=OOC]
The creature hits you (taking 3 dmg from Raiyek) and negates the benefit of the surge, you still expend the surge, but gain no benefit.

I'll assume you want to push 2 squares, otherwise you're still grabbed
[/sblock]

Kruk's head darts to and fro as he attempts to locate the creature. He turns and sees that the creature has the Georg. "Let him go!" Kruk states as he runs forward to attack, again sinking his axe into the creature.

It slides past the group and back onto the top of the path, where it finds Lily and Carolina. It slaps a tendril at Kruk as it passes, he feels the cold draining of its touch, as do Carolina and Lily. Then the tendrils lash out with speed again, latching onto the shaman and the rogue, leaving them struggling in its grasp.

[sblock=OOC]
Grim killed man, drains 5 thp, failed save though so still slowed.
Shadow shifts 8 and attacks Kruk, Lily, and Carolina - hits all of you, Kruk for 6, Lily 4, Carolina 9. It then uses shadow's lash, on Carolina and Lily. They are both grabbed, Lily hit for 8, Carolina for 9. Then it tries to drag them away, but fails to overcome their Fort.

Status:
Shadow - used 2 AP, shadow jaunt
Grim - slowed and takes a -2 penalty to attack rolls (save ends both)

Georg - 21 - 9/30 - 8/9 surges, bloodied,
Kruk - 21 - 42/48 - 11/12 surges
Bad Guys - 20 <- higher init mod.
Grim - 20 - 21/35 +5thp - 7/7 surges <- you're up
Carolina - 20 - 11/29 - 7/7 surges, bloodied, grabbed
Lily - 15 - 5/26 -9/9 surges, bloodied, grabbed
Raiyek - 13 - 39/39 - 11/11 surges

Rayek; grim; kruk; georg; carolina; lily (1d20 3=13, 1d20 4=20, 1d20 1=21, 1d20 1=21, 1d20 6=14, 1d20 1=15) *Double Crit... why didn't I get that for the bad guys :rant:
