Lily held up the skull, its eyes flashed and a sickle shape, like the claw of a mantis, coalesced out of the ever shifting form of the shadow she commanded. Swinging in a deadly arc it cleaved into the walking corpse.

Lily looked down at the woman next to her, beckoning her to follow, lady you better get out of the middle of the street. Then made for cover next to Georg. She gave the dwarf a little wave and then peeked around the corner.

Lith drifted across the lane, nearer to the thing Kruk was fighting.

[sblock=ooc]

standard: Watcher's Strike: vs Ref [Target: Zombie 10] (1d20+5=22)
if it hit: Damage (1d8+5=8). Until the end of Lily's next turn, she and her allies gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls and a +5 bonus to Perception checks while adjacent to her spirit companion.

move: Lily moves to AF10 (which provides some cover hopefully :)). If Zombie 10 died Lith moves to a spot adjacent to both Kruk and the Wight (presumable Z15). If Zombie 10 did not perish then Lith moves to AA14.

[sblock=Lily's Spirit Primer (Please Read!)]
Spirit companions are complex critters, so this is to remind everyone, myself included, of the important points. The first three items are probably the most relevant to the other players.
  • Any of Lily's allies who start their turn adjacent to her spirit companion can shift 1 square as a free action, as the first action during their turn.
  • Any of Lily's allies adjacent to her spirit companion gain a +3 bonus to their damage rolls against bloodied enemies.
  • Lily's spirit companion occupies 1 square, Lily's allies may move through its space, but her enemies may not.
  • Lily's spirit companion may be targeted by melee and ranged attacks. If a single attack deals 10 or more damage to Lily's spirit companion it disappears and Lily takes 5 damage. Otherwise her spirit companion is unaffected by the attack.
  • Lily's spirit companion uses Lily's defenses.
  • Any enemy that leaves a square adjacent to Lily's spirit companion without shifting is subject its Spirit Fang attack. (This is an opportunity action and so may used once per turn, rather than once per round. Since there is no reason not to take this attack DM please feel free to roll them as necessary.)
  • Lily's spirit companion is unaffected by terrain and environmental phenomena.

Seeing the last of the enemies nearby fall to Carolina's bolt, Raiyek rushes ahead to follow Kruk into the fray. "Palladys strengthen you!" he calls to Georg as he dashes past, speed belying the heavy armor he wore.

The paladin finally ends up in front of one of the necrotic-hurling zombies, stabbing it with his sword and binding it to him with Palladys' power. "You'll have to face me first before you hurl any more filth at my friends, undead."
[sblock=Actions]Move: to AD12

Minor: Channel Divinity: Divine Mettle. Georg gets a save with a +2 bonus.

Standard:
Charge to X12 and attack Corruption Corpse 34 with Ardent Strike: 1d20+8+1=21 vs. AC, 1d10+4=7 damage. On a hit, target is subject to my divine sanction til end of my next turn (marked, 5 radiant on 1st attack that doesn't target me).
The movement part will probably provoke from Z10, but that's ok. 23 AC and 10 temp hp, I'm sure I'll be fine ;)

Well, at least Raiyek's being more productive than Tristan. Poor striker hasn't even done a single point of damage to that stupid dragon yet :([/sblock][sblock=Raiyek stats]Raiyek Meliam - Male Elf Paladin (Palladys) 3

You can't charge from current location, you're 10 squares away. sorry, so again you still have your AP. You can re-use that crit on your next attack though, I'd feel like an ass if I didn't ;) [/sblock]

Seeing the last of the enemies nearby fall to Carolina's bolt, Raiyek rushes ahead to lead Kruk into the fray. "Palladys strengthen you!" he calls to Georg as he dashes past, speed belying the heavy armor he wore.

The paladin finally ends up in front of one of the necrotic-hurling zombies, stabbing it with his sword and binding it to him with Palladys' power. "You'll have to face me first before you hurl any more filth at my friends, undead." The blade seems to be driving true, but suddenly the wind changes and the terrible stench rising from this particular ghoul overwhelms Raiyek and the strike just goes errant.

[sblock=Raiyek]
You notice a slight hint of fear in its eyes as the glowing blade was coming towards it, and it seems quite averse to it[/sblock]

Georg whips his staff around to block the incoming bolt of energy with his own. He draws in a deep breath and waves his staff towards the newcomers. A burst of flame expands around two of them but it's fires seem very weak. We've seen them before, remember, in the sewers! he shouts gesturing to the far creatures as he moves behind cover. The blast catches the wight, but the corpse seems to ignore the pain.

Lily held up the skull, its eyes flashed and a sickle shape, like the claw of a mantis, coalesced out of the ever shifting form of the shadow she commanded. Swinging in a deadly arc it cleaved into the walking corpse, severing the foes head.

Lily looked down at the woman next to her, beckoning her to follow, lady you better get out of the middle of the street. Then made for cover next to Georg. She gave the dwarf a little wave and then peeked around the corner.

Lith drifted across the lane, nearer to the thing Kruk was fighting.

Grim rushes over and picks up the woman, and runs past Georg, huffing and puffing as he stops with the woman stuck in a state of shock.

With Kruk standing alone in the street, the wight shifts towards him, ignoring the spirit for now, after seeing the ineffectual attacks from its allies. The silver bolt strikes into the dwarf and leaves him unable to move his feet.

"Get the elf...he will taste delicious" it hisses to the other corpses.

The dog stands up, but it seems disoriented by its reanimation and it can't bite at Kruk's ankles.

The corpses listen to the wight and the one steps back from Raiyek's reach. They throw globs of blackness at the elf, but he sidesteps one of the globs and the other is blocked with his shield.

[sblock=OOC]
*There's an aura around the corpses - Aura 1 - if you're in it -5 to melee attacks.

Wight uses Grave Bolt on Kruk - vs ref; dmg (1d20 6=25, 1d6 4=10) hits for 5 necrotic (after resistances) and you're immobilized (save ends) then uses Reanimate to return the doggie to unlife.

Doggie stands up and bites at Kruk, but misses terribly

both CC's attack Raiyek - vs ref; necrotic (1d20 7=15, 2d6 3=11, 1d20 7=11, 2d6 3=6) wow, Palladys is watching over him today ;)

Init:
Carolina - 26
Raiyek - 26
Grim - 22
Georg - 19 - 27/30 - weakened (save ends), +2 Defenses TENT, +3 dmg
Lily - 9
Baddies - 8
Kruk - 5 - 38/48 - immobilized (save ends) <- you're up

Init (raiyek, carolina, grim, lily, kruk, georg, baddies (1d20 3=23, 1d20 6=26, 1d20 4=22, 1d20 1=9, 1d20 1=5, 1d20 1=19, 1d20 1=8)[/sblock]

Didn't Kruk go...

standard: passing attack

move: move to AF12 (or there abouts since that enemy was dead)

AP

standard: charge wight

That would let him cover the 10 squares.

Not true. In my first attack, at the end of the passing attack power, I moved to Greog's location. From there I charged. It was only 5 squares away.

no problem though. Let's keep the adventure going
[/sblock]

Kruk, feeling the cold touch of the wight, screams in frustration as he now realizes he can't move his legs. He takes his frustration out on the dog with a high arc swipe of his axe. "Get away from me you mutt!"

ooc: I'll take the crit roll and damage on the dog and Kruk marks the dog if it isn't dead.

ooc: I forgot this: save vs imob: 1d20=16

After watching the dog die at least its third death, Carolina steps from the corner and launches her newly acquired magical dagger at the apparent leader of the undead hoard.

Luck isn't with the halfling this time, however, and she trips as she spins around the corner. Her blade goes wide--too wide, and she winces as it lands across the road at Lily's feet.

She is quite impressed, however, when the magical blade returns to her empty hand.

[sblock=Actions]Move: Shift to AI16
Standard: Sly Flourish vs. Wight; 1d20+11 hits AC 12 (natural 1) for 0 damage (Roll Lookup)
Minor: About that gloating... :erm:

Raiyek shakes his head, trying to clear the noxious smell of the walking corpse from his nose. "Carolina, Lily, Geog, I think these two are up to you three. I can't concentrate when I'm that close to them."

Turning away from the hurling zombies, the paladin sets his eyes on the emaciated wight. "I'll taste delicious, will I? I hope you like the taste of steel, because that's all you'll get from me this day!" He charges into the undead with another vicious stab, but it seems the scent of the other zombies is still interfering with his aim.
[sblock=Actions]Move: to Z14

Piercing Smite vs. the wight: 1d20+8+1=14 vs. Ref, 2d10+4=17 damage.
Reroll with Elven Accuracy: 1d20+8+1=14. What, a second 5? It really, really annoys me when I reroll and get the same roll twice.
