To Catch a Crimelord, or Down the Rabbit Hole (garyh judging)

[sblock=ooc]
Just need Carolina. IG's having some connectivity problems, but it's only been about a day so I'll give until Monday, then I'm open to suggestions[/sblock]

OOC: I'll roll for Carolina. Carolina rolls a crit, killing Mr. X with one well placed thrust of her dagger. Nice job Carolina!!!!!

Carolina maneuvers around Kruck for a better position, and thrusts forward at Havastav just as the magical dagger returns to her hand.

[sblock=Actions]I wasn't positive that Carolina already had CA on Havastav, so I put her into a position where there was no question...

Move: Around Kruk to F6
Standard: Sly Flourish vs. Havastav; 1d20+11 hits AC 25 (+2 bonus not included in IC roll) for 23 damage (Roll Lookup)
Minor: none

Ya know, that really isn't bad damage for a single dagger attack...[/sblock]

Lily held up the skull, summoning Lith between her and Havastav. The skulls eyes flared as she urged her shadowy companion forward, and it fell on the armoured man in a wave of inky black centipedes, drawing strength from him to heal Lily and Raiyek's wounds. As Lith's attack ebbed Lily completed as second incantation and two howling and angry ghost poured out of the skull and descended on Havastav with a fury. Taking advantage of the momentary distraction Lily and Lith slipped around into better positions.

Carolina maneuvers around Kruck for a better position, and thrusts forward at Havastav just as the magical dagger returns to her hand. The blade finds a particularly vital spot and causes a vicious wound.

[sblock=ooc]
You forgot the weakened condition Carolina. so only 11 damage
save (1d20=16) you are no longer weakened though :)[/sblock]

Infused with healing from Lily's magic, Raiyek's eyes snap open again. After a brief moment to take stock of the battle, the paladin is up on his feet again.

He gives a critical eye to Havastav's defenses, spots an vulnerability, and attacks. Raiyek's arm is still weak from his brush with death, however his faith is strong and Lily's aid is enough as the glowing blade strikes the shade somewhat disrupting it. It appears to be hanging by a thread.

Kruk staggers from the blow, but regains composure quickly. "Hmmm...is that all you got? I've not fallen yet!" Kruk rares back "I've been saving this one for you shade warrior!" unleashing a brutal attack, swiping his axe in such a way that carried all of his strength and weight behind it. Unfortunately, the blow misses, much to the dismay of the dwarf, due to the mighty attack he suffered from the foe.

Georg swings his staff toward Brutus, the air explodes in thunder, but somehow the large zombie holds his ground..

The huge zombie turns its attention back to Raiyek now that the "holy one" has stood up and another double handed smash to the elf's shoulders sends him back down the the ground, although this time he stays conscious.

Havastav looks at Kruk and the shade laughs, a cold, haunting sound, as the bastard sword slashes hard on Kruk after he deflected the first blow with his shield. Kruk can't withstand this punishment and joins Raiyek on the ground, although his eyes stare unmoving as his lifeblood pours out.

The flames continue to grow as Kadaj focuses on the ritual, a huge form is now beginning to take shape in the fires as the "crimelord" maintains his focus.

not a ton of time, so I'm skipping the fluff for now.

minor: Healing Spirit. Kruk can spend a surge for surge+1 HP, Raiyek heals (1d6+1=7).

standard: Watcher's Strike: vs Ref [Target: Brutus] (1d20+5+2=26)
hits for: Damage (1d8+5=7). Until the end of Lily's next turn, she and her allies gain a +1 bonus to attack rolls and a +5 bonus to Perception checks while adjacent to her spirit companion.

move: move Lith to G7 (adjacent people don't forget your +1 to hit.)

Just so you all know that's the last of the healing, except for what you can get from Healing Flood, so if you're risking going down consider using it.

Darkness spreads throughout his mind, but then disappears as he hears the friendly sound of Lily's voice. Kruk responsed by opening his eyes, blurred vision at first, but then becomes better. What he sees is not what he expected. Havastar had fallen. How? Kruk thinks to himself. Oh well, no time to dwell on that now. Kruk then zeros in on the zombie. After a few deep breaths and shaking the arms and legs to get the numbness out of them, he charges around Lith and attacks the zombie striking it for a minor wound.

[sblock=attacks]

Free: heals for 14 points from surge+1 granted by Lily
Gains an additional 2 points for being bloodied granted by Lily

Minor: If Kruk hasn't used his second wind, he'll use it now. I'll check. I don't think he did, so another 13 hp bringing him to 29 hp

Movement: stand
attack: charge to I7 = 28 (-4 = 24) for 11 (-3 = 8)

mark zombie

[sblock=OOC]I'm hoping that Kruk's hit will take down Havastav. If it does, I think Kadaj should be the primary focus, not Brutus. I get the feeling something quite bad will happen if we let him continue that ritual ...

Raiyek can keep Brutus busy if the rest of you want to focus on Kadaj. I'm thinking Brutus won't like radiant damage very much ;)[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]
All, Havastav dies after Lily's attack. It had all of 1 hp left and Raiyek's radiant damage ended its regen. That's why it took such a beating and kept on going.[/sblock]

Carolina steps to the side and throws her dagger across the battlefield in an attempt to try and disrupt the ritual, but her shot goes wide.

[sblock=OOC]Move: G8
Standard: Sly Flourish vs. Mr. X; 1d20+11+1 hits AC 14 for 12 damage (Roll Lookup
Minor: Crap.[/sblock]
