I got dice older than you.

It is truly sad.

The Moldvay Basic set is where I got my start in D&D, and is still my favorite version of the game.

RIP, Tom. Your work is appreciated, even in your absence.

Not only is this depressing as hell, i live in Akron Ohio and didnt know.
I hardly ever read the Akron Beacon Journal...

Extremely sad, unfortunate news.

If it weren't for Mr. Moldvay, I probably would not have started playing D&D when I did.

He will be missed...

More sad news. Today is a sad day for D&D. While Dragon and Dungeon being discontinued is like a friend dying, this is an actual person dying, real friend and family to others.

My heartfelt condolences to his family and those who knew him well.

Moldvay's D&D basic set was my first introduction to the game, and his Castle Amber is one of my favorite modules and features some of my favorite D&D Iconic Characters ever. My condolences go out to all his friends and family.

Somewhere in Mystara, even Bargle sheds a tear.

RIP, Mr. Moldvay. Thanks for all the greatness you brought to this hobby.
