Tomb of Horrors, White Plume Mountain - What would you have WotC update next?

What I'd like to see, rather than an "update", is a reimagining of many of the old modules. So many of those are really great ideas, but then proceed (in typical fashion of the time) to be just a series of unrelated encounters that take place in between the "story" elements; hack 'n slash encounters that serve mainly to grant xp, and with not a lot of consideration given to why, for example, a group of rakasta are hanging out in the library of a mysterious mansion (as in X2: Castle Amber, which would be my first choice for "reimagining").

Something like that would be really awesome, especially if some consideration were given to materials that had come out in the years since they were published- for Castle Amber (again, as an example) to have the "Land of Grey Mists" where the adventurers first go be Ravenloft (it was the inspiration for the module Ravenloft), and the personalities/profiles of the Amber family from the Mystara products used to flesh out the NPCs in the module. I'd love to see something along those lines- probably even pay for it, too, if it were done right. :)

B4 The Lost City

I've run this one for numerous groups over the years. It is my single most favourite 'old school' module and is virtually a campaign in a box unto itself. Huge area to be covered.

Castle Amber would be a cool one to do as well, now that you mention it. I'm not sure I'd like to see it reimagined and have its quirks given a logical explanation, though. For me, the real charm of that adventure was its off-the-wall craziness and I'd like to see that preserved.

Barrier Peaks is getting lots of love here. I've never played it so I am less aware, though I suppose the wierd techno stuff in it is something that would be handy to have a 3.5e conversion for.

My vote would be for B4, particularly if it was a full conversion of all the levels, including Zargon. Really, though, there are lots of old classics I'd love a conversion for. X2, X1, B1-3, B7--Rahasia, X4-5 Desert Nomads, I3-5 Desolation series, and many more.

Of course, as they've done S1, and S2, S3 sure seems logical...
