Tomb of Horrors, White Plume Mountain - What would you have WotC update next?

In no particular order:

Desert of Desolation

Tomb of the Lizard King

I know it's a biggie, but Scourge of the Slavelords. If I had to pick just one, I'd go with A4.

And I'll be the odd man out and take a pass on Barrier Peaks.

I *would* like to see a 3e version of Dragon's Crown (IMO, the best D&D adventure I've seen). However, that would also require a proper conversion of Dark Sun, not to mention that the adventure itself is something like 250-300 pages long, so I'm pretty sure that's not on the table.

What's really on my list as first choice would be The Village of Hommlet. That was probably the best time my players & I had in D&D. We never got to the ToEE, since it wasn't built at that time, and we were mostly out of D&D by the time it did come out (playing on occasion, but it being far from the game of choice.

It's somewhat debatable, since it was revisted in the Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil. Still, it's not a direct conversion of the adventure, and that I'd like to see.

My vote is for Keep on the Borderlands or the Forgotten City, but I am amazed that no one wants to see Strahd's castle from Ravenloft redone.

I'd like to see any of the classics revisited myself, since I never had the opportunity to experience the originals. Ones I would definitely be interested in are Keep on the Borderlands, Against the Giants, the Slavers series, and the ToEE.

I checked out the ToH revision. I have the reproduction of the original that was in RttToH, and so I'm somewhat familiar with it. It looks like a fairly faithful update of the original; they even included the images! It does however include connections to the RttToH that weren't present in the original, these include
mentioning that Acererack's imprisonment of his demon father Tarnhem is what gives him the demon servants that reset and restore the Tomb and attack anyone who tries to go ethereal or astral, and that Acererak is presented as a construct replica of his demilich form found in his fortress on the Negative Energy Plane rather than a full demilich, since a 3.5e demilich is so powerufl that it would wipe out any 9th level party that it would encounter
. These changes do not bother me, since they provide some added logic to the adventure, and make it more playable for the party of 9th level adventurers the module is intended for.

Oh and I don't care what any grognard says. That new map they included with the revision beats the plain old blue and white map any day of the week.

I'm into nostaligia trips as much as almost anyone. Howevver, if I NEVER see another blue and white map, I won't feel I've missed anything.

I just ran this for 3e updated on the fly. IMO, it just ain't the same without old school level draining, which I implemented as a freature of the mist. They were scared shitless. Without that factor, Ravenloft is a cakewlk, imo.
