Top Five New RPG Books

My top five purchases in 2004 (no particular order):

1. Serpent Kingdoms.
2. Shining South.
3. Dungeons of Doom plus all of Ed's eAdventure tiles (Skeleton Key Games).
4. Libris Mortis (OK, this one will no doubt put me in a minority here but I really liked it, much more that Draconomicon).
5. Expanded Psionics Handbook.

I would actually bump LM for Dawnforge in that list but I can't recall whether or not Dawnforge was a 2004 release.

I'm looking forward to the three FR releases for next year plus the Midnight releases (and also hope to purchase the Fury of Shadow boxed set).

My worst purchase for the year was Underdark Adventure Guide by Goodman Games: utter garbage from which the only utility I could extract was from the excellent maps which were available for free (and legal) download from the artist's website. Anyway, if I were to review this product I would give it a rating of 1.

Gotta love a product whose acronym is "HOMP". I love the way that sounds. :)

Here's my list:

4. Blood and Brains: The Zombie Hunter's Guidebook
Woohoo, thanks! I'm pretty sure that's the first time anything I've written was on anybody's top five list!

Of course, I've been on plenty of bottom five lists...

Thanks for putting out a fine product, Talien. I also picked up Blood and Spooks, but I haven't had the chance to read through it yet. What I've seen so far, it would likely make it into my Honorable Mention list.
