Traps and Treachery feats experiences

Voadam

Legend
Has anybody used the sneak attack feats from Traps and treachery?

There is one that increases sneak attack range to 45'; there is one that bumps up sneak attack damage a die, effectively adding an average of 1 point of damage per die; and there is one that works like cleave whenever you make a sneak attack.

Anybody who has allowed them into their games I would like to hear your experiences with them, were they too unbalancing, did you modify them, found them fun, etc.

Thanks.

I've used the one that increases the range 45ft and the one the bumps damage to a d8. I allow all of them, but those are the two that actually saw play time. The rest wait on the bench foir their numbers to be called.

The increased Range allows fir ambushes to be better set up. I almost wiped out the party (on accident mind you) by allow a group of assassins to ambush the group with this feat. THey were able to position them sleves on buildings and cover a greater area. With the tactics and the feat it proved stronger then I thought.

Ther increased damage a PC took, and it served him well. sneak attacks aren't that easy to get in all the time. So, a little extra damage when he was able to worked well.

Quickstrike (I think it was called) was amazing when I used Knockdown and Expert Taction. I'd get 2 extra attacks when I knocked someone down.

Thanks for the replies,

The one I am most concerned with is the extra attack one. My gaming party has a rogue assassin and a rogue ranger assassin, both who use two weapons. I am a little concerned (though not that much) that with the extra attacks they will outshine the fighter at straight combat against non undead foes.

Under normal conditions, the fighter should outshine the rogue. However, if the conditions are favorible for many sneak attacks the rogue will outshine the fighter with or without the feat.

Knocking someone down does not deny them their dex bonus so the other attacks won't come into play.
