I thought Berman was removed from the Star Trek franchise?

Does not sound interesting to me, I see it as an attempt along the lines of Harry Potter, kids go to school, the school is special.

He hasn't been officially removed, yet. It's just a strong rumor (can there really be a strong rumor in Hollywood?) that B&B are on their way out.

In due time. But his removal does not satisfy me. One more has to go.

Perhaps because of the coincidence of timing, but it was discussed before all this Potter-mania.

When Harve Bennett was working with the franchise, he proposed a "Starfleet Academy" movie starring younger versions of Kirk & Co. It was shot down because they still wanted to cash in on the star power of Shatner, Nimoy, and Kelley.

Personally, under the Berman & Braga regime, such a prequel would still be shot down, perhaps in favor of something of their own. Gawd knows what demonic thoughts they will conjure.

I wonder if Nicholas Meyer will ever be considered for the 11th film, as director.

No, Trek is not dead yet, unless Paramount do not remove the Sith Lord and his Dark Apprentice from the leadership positions in that franchise.

More like the mad Dr. Frankenstein and his ugly, humpbacked assistant, Igor.

Following the links at the site I saw a reference to the Klingons appearing again on Enterprise, which *almost* piqued my interest.

Then I read the plot summary: "Archer is tried in a Klingon court and sentenced to Rura Penthe".

Dang, seems like I SAW a movie or something involving a storyline just like that.

Berman and Braga are out... of... ideas...

Time to let someone else have a crack at it.
