Did Dendar ever get an official mention in 4e?

Yeah. Dendar was mentioned as one of the primordials known as "the seven lost gods", along with Kezef the Hound of Chaos and Borem of the Boiling Mud, in the 4e Forgotten Realms Campaign Guide. They are later mentioned again in the roll of primordials in Heroes of the Elemental Chaos, among the primordials of Abeir-Toril.

Okay, I was thumbing through the monster manuals, and found this bit of information in the Monster Vault:
When the gods were creating creatures to inhabit the world, Zehir found he couldnt do it, so he sweet-talked Avandra into teaching him how to change some other god's creatures. She did, with the stipulation that the creatures had to be willing to be changed.

So, after the end of the Dawn War, Zehir killed He Who Was, and tempted some of HWW's creatures--humans--into being twisted into Yuan-ti.

It doesn't mention how the murder was accomplished. Perhaps Zehir sweet-talked Asmodeus into treachery.

Well, there is that version, and there is the version that says Zehir aided Asmodeus to kill He Who Was during the War of Betrayal. We know for the narrative of the Demonomicon, that the one who sweet-talked Asmodeus into betraying the gods was Pazuzu. He also aided him to kill He Who Was, and Asmodeus still owns him for that. In fact, it's also said that the whole Blood War is manipulated by both, Asmodeus and Pazuzu, for their own ends.

What if Zehir was also part of that complot? Obviously, he must have joined later, but it's plausible, seeing that it's believed Io was killed by Erek-Hus because Zehir betrayed them, as Zehir also wanted dragons for himself (IIRC, this is stated in Divine Power).

Isn't Zehir a god of poison? Wouldn't it make sense that he supplied Asmodeus with a god-killing poison or something?
