Trouble posting new threads.

My problem: when I try to post a new thread (when I click on the "New Thread" link) on the General, Rules, House Rules and d20 Modern forums all I get is the "You do not have permission to access this page" message. Yet I can (obviously) still post threads here in Meta. I tried logging out, clearing my cookies and logging back in but that didn't work. Anybody have any idea what is wrong?

I also sent an email to piratecat about this problem.

Go to this page http://www.wykes.org/firewalls.html and make sure your firewall or ISP isn't blocking your HTTP_REFERRER variable, which is used in vbulletin 3.0.5 to stop hackers from using self submitting form attacks to seize control of the boards (It also helps to stop spammers since they usually intentionally block this variable to cover their tracks).

First post bug is fixed - these issues are unrelated Alan but thanks for notifying me.

I checked the site you linked above but I was able to view the dynamic image just as normally should.

Just to be sure I went ahead and added www.enworld.org to my firewall's (ZoneAlarm) list of trusted sites. But that did not solve the problem.

Can you think of anything else?

Ok, I moved you into and out of the CS group - that should have refreshed your permission set. Problem go away?

No, I'm sorry to say that that didn't fix things.

The only clue I can offer you is that I have been able to reach the Post New Thread screen in the Books and Movies forum, the Story Hour forum and here in the Meta forum. It seems the only forums I can't post a new thread in are the ones grouped under the "RPG Forums" heading (though I can still post replies in those forums, I posted several replies in the Rules forum today).
