Tumble and standing up

I seem to remember reading somewhere that you can stand up as a free action using a tumble check or at least stand up without provoking an AoO. I can't find the specifics (probably just poor looking on my part) and am playing a monk with improved trip so this comed up ocassionally.

Could someone point me in the right direction?

It's in the Epic level handbook I believe. DC 35 IIRC.

It appears in a couple places.

I think it first appeared in Oriental Adventures.

It's currently in the ELH (and Epic SRD):

DC: 35 Free stand

Free Stand: The character can stand up from prone as a free action (instead of as a move-equivalent action).

It still provokes an AoO, of course.

This rule was, I think, reprinted in Complete Adventurer, with the explicit mention that it still provokes.
