I like dungeons that have teleporters to a few rooms. Wouldn't want to overdo it in more than one dungeon per campaign.

However, I think it would be cool to have a dungeon made up of 4-5 separate "sections"; each only accessible by teleporter (except maybe the first of course). Probably need multiple teleporters, just in case players can't access the first one. Maybe I could even take a bunch of your maps, and replace stairs with teleporters... Hmmmm. Maps are so inspiring.

Also, I think if I ran this one today, I'd make the lower section (rooms 10-28) be knee-deep in water, with the water coming up out of one or more of the pits in room 22. It would feel a bit like Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan, but so what :) My current play group hasn't run through any of the classic modules.

That's interestig that you start with the corridors first, instead of the rooms. I'd probably start with the rooms first, and then connect everything later. Curious why you work in that order?

Turgenev

Adventurer
I don't always start with the corridors first. It depends on the map. Sometimes I will start with rooms first. Most often, I start with the entrance and then do corridors and rooms as I expand from there. The map I was working on yesterday, I started with a large room in the centre and then spread out from there. Basically I go where the creative flow takes me.

Cheers,
Tim

Ah, i didn't read the top paragraph, I guess I just really wanted to get to the map...

I do note that if I blur my eyes a bit, and look at the map - it does slightly resemble a certain droid that only speaks in whistles and boops...
