TUW: The Outpost

Y 0: D 202: D 52: Amiradthae, Raven Elk Reacts

Raven Elk ... screams an unintelligible war cry as he strikes at one of his attackers.
[sblock=Reaction Time]Raven Elk: 13(Impetus) + 20(Sequence) + 98(d100) = 131
131 - 32(armor) - 100(weapon) - 60(hurt) = -61
Amiradtha: 10(Impetus + 19(Sequence) + 78(d100) = 107
107 - 18(armor) - 200(weapon) {- 40(hurt)} = -111 {-151}[/sblock]
GM: Despite his injury, Raven Elk proves faster than both of his opponents. Taking advantage that one opponent is already hurt, he engages that one.

[sblock=Attacking]Raven Elk: 15(Fury) + 20(Lethality) + 20(Attack) + 98(d100) - 50(hurt) = 103
Amiradtha: 11(Konokoro) + 10(Defense) + 78(d100) - 40(hurt) = 59
Damage: 103 - 59 = 44% * 20 = 9 - 5(deflect) = 4
Body: 4 - 4 = 0: incapacitated
Amiradtha: 10(Fury) + 19(Lethal) + 22(Attack) + 78(d100) = 129
Raven Elk: 12(Konokoro) + 11(Defense) + 19(Defend) + 98(d100) - 50(hurt) = 90
Damage: 129 - 90 = 39% * 15 = 6 - 5(deflect) = 1
Body: 4 - 1 = 3: injured[/sblock]
GM: Raven Elk stabs the injured Amiradtha piercing through his sheepskin tunic, causing enough further injury to incapacitate him. The other in retaliation thrust her own spear back, but Raven Elk has enough defense to partially deflect the blow which pierces his sheepskin pants, nicking his thigh.

Vittero, who had decided to ignore the Amiradtha running at him, and begun running toward Raven Elk and Taylar, pauses just long enough to fire an arrow from the, now, short bow range at one of the opponents on Taylar, just as Raven Elk drops one of his.
[sblock=Reaction Time]Vittero: 16(Impetus) + 24(Sequence) + 91(d100) = 131
131 - 32(armor) - 200(bow) = -101
Amiradtha: 10(Impetus) + 19(Sequence) + 28(d100) = 57
57 - 18(armor) - 200(weapon) = -161[/sblock]
GM: The Amiradtha giving chase is still a short bow range behind Vittero when he pauses to fire, being unable to reach him until after the arrow flies.

[sblock=Attacking]Vittero: 16(Projection) + 24(Trajectory) + 23(Launch) + 91(d100) + 50(range) = 204
Amiradtha: 11(Konokoro) + 10(Defense) + 28(d100) = 49
Damage: 204 - 49 = 155 * 20 = 31 - 5(deflect) = 26[/sblock]
GM: Vittero's arrow punches through the Amiradtha's sheepskin tunic and buries to the fletching, killing him.

[sblock=Combat Data]The Amiradthae are grouped 4, 2, and 4.

Adisakti rushes toward Vittero, screaming gibberish.
"HUTTO BAKA BITELEYO YUPA HOTEYO CHAMA!!!!!

He will attack the Amiradthae that was rushing toward Vittero. He will target the joints. First the elbows to disarm, then the knees to immobilize.

OOC: Humorously, Adi could scream in Thisidan and it would sound like gibberish to the Amiradthae.

[sblock=Reaction Time]Adisakti: 10(Impetus) + 23(Sequence) + 84(d100) = 117
117 - 36(armor) - 100(staff) = -19
Amiradtha: 10(Impetus) + 19(Sequence) + 30(d100) = 59
59 - 18(armor) - 200(spear) = -159[/sblock]
GM: As the Amiradtha running after Vittero almost reaches him, he is suddenly cut off by Adisakti. The Amiradtha is caught almost unaware, having neglected to note Adisakti has he had originally run past his engagement.

[sblock=Attacking]Adisakti: 11(Fury) + 23(Lethal) + 21(Attack) + 84(d100) = 139
Amiradtha: 11(Konokoro) + 10(Defense) + 30(d100) = 51
Damage: 139 - 51 = 88% * 20 = 18 - 2(soak) = 16
Mind: 8 - 16 = -8: unconscious
Body: 8 - 8 = 0: incapacitated[/sblock]
GM: As Adisakti takes aim to disarm his opponent, the Amiradtha turns, sensing his attacker, but the turn proves extremely detrimental. The blow aimed at the arm, instead, strikes the head, rendering the Amiradtha unconscious and fully incapacitated. He falls to the ground like a cut timber.

Taylar reacts next.

Taylar glares at the Amiradtha that stabbed him and says, "You're only making me stronger."

With two hands still on his club he will thrust the heavy end of it into the face of the same one, going for a precise strike instead of a swing.

OOC: What the Amiradtha hears: t' me rends seulement plus fort.

OOC: NOTE: The reaction time and damage are changed for the weapon because of the declared attack. The use is now much faster, but the damage is less.

[sblock=Reaction]Taylar: 13(Impetus) + 20(Sequence) + 62(d100) = 95
95 - 36(armor) - 100(club) = -41
Amiradtha: 10(Impetus) + 19(Sequence) + 48(d100) = 77
77 - 18(armor) - 200(weapon) - 10(daze) = -151[/sblock]
GM: With the change in tactics, Taylar reacts much more quickly, thrusting at the slightly dazed Amiradtha before he can react.

[sblock=Attacking]Taylar: 14(Fury) + 20(Lethal) + 23(Attack) + 62(d100) = 119
Amiradtha: 11(Konokoro) + 10(Defense) + 48(d100) = 69
Damage: 119 - 69 = 50% * 20 = 10 - 2(soak) = 8
Mind: 7 - 8 = -1: unconscious
Body: 8 - 1 = 7: slightly hurt[/sblock]
GM: Taylar manages to connect with enough force to render his remaining opponent unconscious.

GM: The healthy Amiradtha still in melee range with Raven Elk realizes the hopelessness of his situation and is trying to back away to run. The other remaining Amiradtha that Vittero had first shot with an arrow is also trying to escape. She is at long bow range from everyone but Maka, from whom she is still at medium bow range distance. The other 8 foes are down.

Adisakti avoids the dead Amiradtha as he is still uncomfortable with dead bodies. His experience with Liam's family has quenched his curiosity, but he is still not sure what to do with a dead body. He has seen them from afar, but interacting with them is a bit odd for him. Adi keeps an eye out for Amiradtha returning as he walks to Taylar and Raven Elk. He will put a hand on each one and attempt to heal them the way he healed that bird with the injured wing a few years ago.

~I told my parents about it, but no one else. I'm not sure how people would react if they knew of my abilities, but I think my friends would be okay with it...besides, I'm pretty sure Taylar and Raven Elk have been attempting to use "Way".

..thats what Da called it...its a bit of an odd name, if it works the way Da said it does they should have called it something cooler..."Blessing of the gods"...or "Cosmic Power of Life and Death"
(Adi smiles visibly) "Cosmic Power of Life and Death", I like that one...we could call it "The Power" for short...

Adi returns from chasing his mental rabbit

...although, Raven and Taylar are much bigger than that bird, I'm not so sure its going to work as well...I guess we'll find out...I'll probably have to do this again over the next couple of days
Adi looks at Taylar ~Feeling for vibrations~

Adi puts a hand on Taylar and Raven in turn, smiling and manipulating the Way within them. He searches for any reaction.

He leaves the Amiradtha alone, after all they attacked them first, such a violent people should be taught a lesson. If they had come out and attempted to talk to them rather than trying to kill them things would have gone differently. ~Its a shame they got killed, but its their own fault.~

Well, I guess they got what they deserved, if they had come out peacefully they wouldn't have gotten knocked about. I don't imagine they will be up in the mood for negotiations. We know they aren't the culprits, lets just keep moving. We've wasted enough time as it is. Leave the them where they are, lets take their weapons and dump them a few miles away. Our real quarry has been on the move while were dancing with these ninnies.

OOC: all orange is inner dialogue

Adisakti... puts a hand on Taylar and Raven in turn, smiling and manipulating the Way within them...
[sblock=Render Aid]
Effectiveness:
  • (various Collegiate Tasks) +
  • Mind + Knowledge +
  • Commercial
This active task is applied to any attempt to restore a person to full capacity, whether bodily or mentally. This is not applied to an attempt to restore Essence as that is solely a Collegiate task. Refer to the Collegiate Tasks for various methods of speeding natural healing.[/sblock]
[sblock=Mend]
Range: Touch
Effectiveness:
  • Essence + Confluence +
  • Mind + Knowledge + Will +
  • Collegiate
Time: 10 days*Loss/(Target Health + Target Confluence + Effectiveness + d100)

By actively manipulating Way, this increases the natural rate of restoration of the loss of Body in the intended target.[/sblock]
OOC: Adisakti: 26(Mend) + 14(Render Aid) = 40
Taylar: Time = 10 * 5 / (2 + 4 + 40 + 84) = 9.2 hours
Raven Elk: Time = 10 * 6 / (2 + 4 + 40 + 84) = 11.1 hours

Seeing the two remaining Amiradthae trying to flee, Vittero runs toward his injured friends. Seeing and sensing what Adi has done once he is standing next to him, Vittero also tries to render aid to see if he can increase the natural process even more.
OOC: Vittero: 33(Mend) + 16(Render Aid) = 49
Taylar: 10 * 5 / (2 + 4 + 40 + 49 + 91) = 6.5 hours
Raven Elk: 10 * 6 / (2 + 4 + 40 + 49 + 91) = 7.7 hours

GM: Both Adisakti and Vittero are amazed as they watch the injuries begin to heal, having increased what would normally take days into mere hours. Travel will be very slow, as necessary, while Taylar and Raven Elk recover.

Having seen his father bless an injured miner, this is the first time Vittero has ever fully understood the capacity of the gift he and his friends can bring to bear. Being more comfortable with the dead than Adisakti, Vittero begins to disarm them. As he does so, he notices some trinkets that draw his attention.
"Hey Adi, Maka and I can disarm these folks. I think we should also take a walk through their camp before we continue on northward, though."

Maka sees that the wounded Amiradthan girl is trying to escape; since she and her kin are no longer a threat, he lets her do so. He lowers his bow, and nods at her, as if to say, "Go, while you still can."

Being uninjured, Maka will see to his friends that were less fortunate, trying to help in any way he can, dressing wounds with makeshift bandages, etc.

OOC: Maka is still unaware that he can truly manipulate Way, although, as he is touching his friends' skin, he can feel the strange, connective sensation, the relationship between all living things, through Way. Without yet consciously realizing it, Maka attempts to render aid in the same way as Adi, through augmentation with Way.

... Being uninjured, Maka will see to his friends that were less fortunate, trying to help in any way he can, dressing wounds with makeshift bandages, etc.
GM: As Maka arrives to lend assistance in bandaging his friends, they find that the healing process increases even more.

OOC: Maka: 22(Mend) + 9(Render Aid) = 31
Taylar: 10 * 5 / (2 + 4 + 40 + 49 + 31 + 99 + 91(luck)) = 3.8 hours
Raven Elk: 10 * 6 / (2 + 4 + 40 + 49 + 31 + 99 + 91) = 4.6 hours

Raven Elk slumps down near the nearest rock to restore his strength.

He realized he was not as prepared as he thought he was. Bugs are one thing, but people are another.
