Day 260: Adisakti and the Mourners

Adi sees Maka’s mouth moving but can’t hear him... notices the stone and thinks...-if I can’t catch one, at least it’ll be fun to harass them- he grabs the stone, rolls over and throws it, from the prone position, at the nearest bird.

GM: Adisakti, surprising himself, narrowly misses the bird. Not particularly recognizing the thrown rock as a threat, the bird continues to dance and sing, swinging upside down on its perch.

As the rock leaves his hand, Adi has a brilliant idea. He runs and finds a new stone. This one he charges with electromagnetic way. He approaches the ledge on his belly again, and throws the stone at the nearest bird.

GM: With a greater degree of accuracy than his first launch, Adisakti clips one of the birds with his launched, make-shift projectile. The impact slightly dazes the stone and then a pulse of electromagnetic energy emanates, incapacitating it. The mourner birds falls from its perch to land bounce on the rocks 20 paces below. The other birds balk at the incident, taking flight, and abandoning their current location. Raven Elk arrives just in time to see the remainder of the small covey depart.

Adi stands up and pumps his fists into the sky triumphantly...he turns and sees Raven walking up. He gives Raven a big smile, gestures over the edge of the precipice and begins looking for a way to retrieve his prize.

Raven Elk, seeing what Adi has done, smiles back.

"I suppose You'll be wanting to get your prize."he says as he pulls the leather "plugs" from his ears.

Day 260: Adisakti's Prize

Adi stands up and pumps his fists into the sky triumphantly...he turns and sees Raven walking up. He gives Raven a big smile, gestures over the edge of the precipice and begins looking for a way to retrieve his prize.

Raven Elk, seeing what Adi has done, smiles back. "I suppose You'll be wanting to get your prize."

A direct route might prove injurious or even fatal. With Raven Elk remaining on the platform, Adisakti is able to move down the stairs and make his way over to the cliff facing from its bottom edge. Adi notices the broken bones of several animals and what is very likely the stains of old remains. After a few seconds of searching, he finds the bird. It is not much for meat, seemingly all bones and feathers, but there are three particular strange, tail feathers, called ailephs, that captivate Adi's attention.

While examining the bird, he notices that there seems to be a particular path that some animal has frequented to and from this location. The path leads around the cliff's northern edge.

Adi strongly desires to follow the trail, but something tells him to get Raven. He climbs back up and proudly shows the bird to Raven, pointing out the odd feathers. On his way back up he attempts to find if the feathers will help him manipulate way. Once he is back at the top with Raven he removes his head dress and talks to him

Smiling triumphantly Adi saysSo, we can explore this keep now if we want to...but I also saw an animal trail that looked interesting...want to see where it goes?

Raven Elk is intrigued by the information of a game trail.

"I would like to investigate this game trail. Should we call the others, or just do this ourselves?"

Adi, being himself, chuckles Well, my dear Raven, there's what we could do, and what we should do...I've always found what we could do to be more fun than what we should do, but in this case I don't want to follow a beast that can put me in a trance the way the dairy farmer's daughter entrances Taylar...although, I don't understand what he sees,Adi begins to laugh, slapping Raven on the shoulder and holding on to keep from doubling over...barely getting out the last of his sentence if the dairy farmer were blind he'd mistake her for one of his sheep.

After regaining his composure, Adi finishes...we should get Taylar and V, and explore the trail together, then come back and explore this keep.

Raven Elk responds, furrowing his brow, a little, over Adi's crude, and rather unfair, humor. She was not the prettiest girl at The Outpost; but she was no where near to being as homely as Adi joked about. In fact, Raven Elk recalled a time when Adi sported for her attention for a while.

"Let's leave Taylar with V until Vittero recovers. But, you and Maka have worked out signals between each other.
Signal him to come over. I think the three of us can handle this."

Adi nods, and attempts to get Maka's attention so he can see his signal to come over and explore this trail with Raven and himself.

 

[Tellerian Hawke]

Maka notices Adi's signal.

Maka tells Taylar, "Adi is signalling. I will go see what he wants. I think he managed to kill one of the birds."

With that, Maka calmly walks over to where Adi is standing.
