TV - Blade: The Series -- 2006.07.12 SPOILERS

Hand of Evil

Hero
Epic
Mostly a filler this one, Krista looks to not have been given Aurora last week or she is unaware of it, she is now trying to get a sample for Blade.

We get a new character, the man in black, that is slowly finding out about vampires.

We see how vampire vamp Chase hunts.

Blade and side-kick (who is better that Blade at action) gone on the hunt for the doctor working on Aurora, he has been doing testing on vampires. Blade, side-kick and stool-pigeon vampire (ex-test subject) find the lab, fight and kill some test subjects and then track the guy on to find out he may be baby doctor! Question: Why were there test subjects left in the lab? Blade used stool-pigeons head to break down a brick wall, you would think 6 vamps could have got out).

For a filler not bad, a good bit of Krista ;), action not bad because it was spread out to different characters, it did not focus on the Blade character. This really helped.

It is painful to watch Sticky-Fingers try and be Snipes' Blade, he is not trying to be Blade but Snipes playing Blade. At least you have Krista jiggling in bra as she cleans blood off her hands. ;)

Definitely agree with your assessments. It did seem that "Sticky" is starting to loosen up in his role, though.

Personally, I find myself starting to view this as Krista's show. And I'm okay with that, for a variety of reasons. I'm just afraid some nitwit is going to decide to off her because she's stealing the limelight. I hope they realize that she's also more what's bringing in the audience.

Also, am I the only one who thinks the Chase is maybe a worse actor than Blade? She's the one who I find painful. (Not that they have her there for her acting skills.)

I am just amazed that have not given her more exposure, if you know what I mean. ;) she is bad.

I fully agree it is the Krista show, unfortunately the series is called Blade. Now if Spike wants a female vampire show then they should make one if that is what is bringing in the audience. I however wanted to see the Blade show and Spike will lose me unless it becomes that as of next episode. This has come up numorous times for me but I completely refuse to watch even quality programming if it is marketed under false pretenses (and I am not yet convinced that this even reaches that level).

Well, the last Blade movie was sorta like that. It focused less on Blade and more on the other vampire hunters (and product placements.).

I think either Goyer is tired of the Blade character, or his feud with Snipes has affected his view of the Blade character.

I wonder though if Mercury will end up dropping Krista as it's spokeslady? I mean, she kinda projects a different image than they seem to be going for in the commercials.
