Twin Strike and Careful Strike Question.

hmm, just a thought, maybe i am wrong... if u use careful strike and if u miss, u cant use hunter's quarry. however, if u use twin strike, even if u miss 1 attack, u still can apply hunter's quarry extra dmg on the successful hit. so i would rather pick TS than careful strike.

Right, this ia an issue. Twin strike is simply better in every way. Careful strike needs something which makes it a reasonable option IMO.

See ya,

I think that the problem is not with Careful Strike but with twin strike that is strictly better.

A possible fix might be to force twin strike to have two targets : if you cannot attack the same opponent with both attacks using TS, than Careful Strike might be better when you're just trying to make sure that you hit.

TS would then be useful to kill minions (not unlike cleave) or to do slightly more average damage not unlike a small area effect.

And CS would be more useful versus high AC targets, as it should

This is also an interesting solution, and elegantly removes HQ from the equation (RAW twin strike allows MORE dependable HQ damage than careful strike).
