Two-handed Weapons: Single-Handedly?

Ok, so I am pretty new on these forums but have been playing DnD for a long time within 3.5 and now 4th.


Here is my question:

Can someone wield a two-handed weapon in one hand as far as 4E rules stand by any means?


If not, what would be a considerable way to implement rules as such?

Einhander keyword

A two-handed weapon with the Einhander keyword may be wielded in one-hand, however while doing so it's proficiency bonus is reduced by 1

where does einhander appear? i cant find it. (or are you suggesting a house rule?)

anyway to the op. You could be a race that is oversized (bugbar and minotaur) and then wield a bastard sword of your size one handed.

thats as close as i can think of.

um, it appears in this thread, it's a quick and dirty addition to weapons that does what the op wants, in orther words Imade it up in response to his wanting a way to implement it

I do like the idea for the Einhander property, though I dunno about how well rulings may turn out. I think I am going to bring it up in house rules section and see how well the idea plans out.

Only by being a Large creature (assuming you mean a standard-sized two-handed weapon). Bugbears and PC minotaurs are Medium.

Or, you know, you take a bastard sword (Or waraxe, or Craghammer).
