UF vs. OSU *again* - Who wins?

Living in Ohio, but my wife somehow will win $50 in a pool if Florida wins.

Plus she went to Xavier, so I think she has some left over anger from that game.

..I'm not a fan of the Gators and hope Ohio wins..however, if I was a betting man, my money would be on Florida...

Gators for the Win by 9 points!

As a Floridian who's father attended UF (even if I am currently residing in the benighted land of Kentucky) I couldn't be happier. Now to make sure I rub it in well enough tomorrow.

Obviously I'm happy with the win.

What impressed me most about Ohio State, though, was their performance considering the relative youth of their team.

It's highly unlikely the Gators will do much next year, but Ohio State could easily make it back to the championship game if their team stays intact.

As for Florida, though, the basketball-football-basketball national champions progression is a nice thing to cherish, since no one has ever done it before.

That will make the basketball->football->basketball->football even more impressive next year :)

I don't think OSU will be that good next year. Oden is gone, by most accounts, and the team really revolved around him. Thie big difference in the Florida game was bench scoring; if OSU had gotten more from the rest of the team, they might have kept it tight in the second half. As it was, the game was pretty much over going into the half.

Err... there was a little splurt midway through the first half where Florida turned a tie into a ten point lead, and it pretty much stayed that way +/- 4 points for the entire rest of the game.
