One reason that I'm getting rid of the table is just a simple lack of time... I'm too busy illustrating/writing, and doing the day job to game. But thank you for the offer.

Your place looks really, really nice though. I'm looking to build a life on a place like that (outside of a big city), which is why I'm working so hard right now.

Game table weight?

I don't really know. The top section is one piece, and it sits on 3 separate boxes. Each box isn't too bad at all... it's the top that's mega heavy. I've moved it with one other *strong* guy before, but it was *really* tough and I wouldn't wanna try that again. I think that 3 mover guys moved it into the house.

It's made to be mega sturdy, but with that came weight.

Heya Arizonans!. I am in Tucson here, and I happen to know where all those cities are without looking them up (of course, Ive lived here all my life).

Questions:
those holes where the players sit (or all those holes where the DM sits) , one of the captions for the pictures says 'message delivery system'. How did that work? Gravity? What did you use those metal balls for in the last couple of pictures (my mind is drawing a blank on their name...tea something?)

I've been here less than a year, but I'm getting pretty familiar with the S/E and I am starting to feel "familiar" with Tucson, and reasonably familiar with everything on I-10 from Wilcox to Phoenix.

Phoenix, I'm mostly familiar with the 32nd street area and Buckeye
Rd.

Really, knowing the areas of Arizona is not something to brag about (hehe). =)

(That comes from my own hatred of this place [probably from having lived here all my life] )

I lived all over the country, East Coast to west coast, and visisted much of where I didn't live. AZ is pretty good. Tucson isn't so great, but there are a lot of great areas to live in AZ. Even with the illeglas issues and problems, such as a window busted out in my other house night before last. I left the friggin front door unlocked!! Morons.

The holes allow players to send messages back and forth to the GM.

Yes, it just works with gravity.

You put you message in the metal orb, and put it into the "send" hole, and it comes down to the GM's feet. The GM station has 6 holes at the top to send to each player station. Each is marked with a little tag holder, so you can put the character's name in each spot. (Just another detail for fun.) The GM recieves messages back in 2 channels at the feet.

Not something that we'd do constantly or anything, but we would use it once or twice a session maybe.

We didn't make it that way because our playstyle was all about secrets; we just wanted to make the table as geeky as we could and we tried to make that aspect kind of fun.

Is it loud? Well, a little. All that needs to happen is to put some felt carpet in the channels, and it would be quiet. We never did it because it really wasn't that big of an issue. Everybody likes recieving notes from me, so I'd send everybody a note at the same time.

Arizona/Phoenix: I think I'd like it here a good deal more if I didn't have to drive so much. Sometimes Phoenix feels like LA jr.

Sorry..Phoenix dropped to NUmber 6 this year..still I was surprised to read this. I would think it was a nice place, but #6?
