Unaccessible Private Messages

I like ENWorld but RL has it where I can't get the whole package so I see I have 2 private messages but I can't read them. Would a Mod help me out ?

Hm. If you're not a Community Supporter, you shouldn't even be able to receive PMs...

That just strikes me as odd.
I thought the main reason to have a different "level" (i.e. community supporter) was to allow the supporters to use resource-intensive things, like mainly Search the boards.

I can't picture any significantly extra traffic involved in PM's.
If this isn't just an "enhancement" thing for Supporters, is tere any way that PM's could be allowed to be used by everybody?

Many boards use them successfully to enhance communication between users and games.

The PM are nice (I have access to them on other sites. Particularly for the PbP games. But I imagine that they would take up alot of disk space on the servers. Of course, only allocating enough space for a few messages to non-community supporters would go some way to addressing this. You would have to clear your inbox regularly.

The User CP allowed me to "tick" to receive PM. I got the impression from that that RUs could recieve PMs from CSs. From what you said, thats not the case?

I was going to ask if RU's could reply to PMs from CSs if they received them, but I would imagine not.

Yep. 'cause you have no storage space where the board could put the messages...

I'll show you what happens. The server should soon send you an e-mail telling you that you someone tried to PM you but couldn't because there's not enough room in your inbox.
