Uncanny Blow (CW) and Power Attack?

Hey, it was 1am here when you asked the question! :)

I read it as "The feat gives 2x damage when wielding the weapon in two hands" - that is, no benefit at all :)

I figure, like Thanee, that whoever wrote it forgot that 2x PA applies to a one-handed weapon wielded in two hands already.
Now that wouldn't be a non-RAW response would it?

Not at all, as far as I can tell. The feat refers to a one-handed weapon wielded in two hands. It allows you to deal Power Attack damage as if it were a two-handed weapon.

The fact that this is no different to how you'd deal Power Attack damage without the feat doesn't make it a non-RAW answer.

I think the reason the RAW are as they are is 'cos a designer forgot how PA works with a one-handed weapon wielded in two hands.

would the feat overrule the restriction (no damage bonus) of using power attack with a small exotic weapon (e.g. kama) 2-handed? intentionally or not

A kama isn't a one-handed exotic weapon; it's a light exotic weapon.

I think I agree with you, but it still seems odd to me that you would restate a feature of a feat within the ability description.

It is odd.

That's why I'm of the belief that the person who wrote the EWM class forgot how Power Attack worked when he wrote that ability description.

What he thought was a powerup is, in fact, nothing of the sort.

To me, it seems really obvious that the person writing this forgot about the new power attack rules and thought this was an additional benefit because when I read this ability, I forgot the new power attack rules and thought that the 2-1 power attack with a katana held in 2 hands was a bonus.

Common Sense >> RAW. At least in my experience.
