Unearthed Arcana: Buying?

As always, I'll wait and see how reviewers and all the folks here dig it. I've found I very rarely buy anything anymore without gathering some info/opinions from reviews.

Yes, but not just any set of house rules. Unearthed Arcana is going to be a set of house rules designed and blessed by the game gods of WotC. So, it will not only reach a much wider audience, but it will be much more accepted as well.

Anyway, I haven't found there to be all that many sets of house rules on the market. I mean, rules that tinker the core game mechanics of D&D. Mostly what I've found in published materials, ever since the advent of D&D 3.0, is an endless deluge of variants for core character classes, prestige classes, and player character races. (Heck, that's pretty much all we've gotten for the past few years from Dragon magazine as well; which, before the advent of D&D 3.0, used to be the primary source for published rules variants for AD&D.)

That's why, in the new Unearthed Arcana, I'm not so much looking forward to chapters 1 and 2, as I am looking forward to chapters 3-6! Heck, this book might just turn out to be as useful as the original Unearthed Arcana.
