Erf, AC 15 HP 12. Fenenn, AC 16 HP 13 (-4 AC for Run = 12)

Erf, silent for once, leans in close to Fenenn's back as the great Wolfhound lets out a baying howl and gallops forward to meet their attackers.

Danger! An ambush! Ter-raen runs on, determined not to let the party come to harm! As he approaches, he notices a lone ambusher nearest to him, and he aims for that target.

I can't remember the relevant penalties for full run, so the AC value in the heading is unmodified AC.

Running towards #3, since you mentioned both Erf and TR notice the three men with shortbows.

Ter-raen runs towards the nearest opponent, making a thunderous din in the still air. All eyes turn towards him for a second. (ooc: I was going to roll move silently for you, since the enemies hadn't noticed you yet, but your modifier is -22. :D Also, you lose your dex bonus to AC while running.)

Gildrim, not taken in by the minstrel's performance, draws a weapon and takes a defensive stance.

Cyian's fascination with the story is broken when he notices the approach of armed men.

Cyian Round 1

Total defense beside Gildrim draw my sling. AC +4

Cyian reaches for a bullet in the pouch on his hip. Why is that man throwing flowers? Cyian wonders. Suddenly a huge yawn his jaws and he brings the hand with the bullet up to cover his mouth. So tired but can't sleep now...zzz...The young man drops the bullet and then follows it to the ground apparently he is going to sleep through his first combat.

Round 1, continued

Cyian readies his sling and takes a defensive stance, causing the minstrel to sneer derisively. (SRD says you can fire a sling one handed, but loading it takes two hands. So the question is, do you have your shield in your off hand or not? I'll assume not for the moment, putting your AC at 21 this round, but feel free to correct me.)

"You're nearly as clumsy as my minions. I had meant to capture you without violence, but it seems that you wish to do things the hard way. Very well. Feel the wrath of Carlos Cloudsong!" With that, he raises his hands and gestures theatrically, throwing a shower of rose petals in the air and whispering something unintelligible. (ooc: Gildrim and Cyian, make will saves, DC 13, or fall asleep.) Then, he dances toward Cyian, drawing a rapier and a shortsword with practiced flourishes."Don't just stand there; shoot the loud one, you fools!"

The thugs, perhaps more motivated by Ter-raen's charge than their leader's orders, do fire at the barbarian. The first one hits with a clean shot. (3 damage) Ter-raen tries to twist out of the path of the second arrow, but his momentum prevents him from dodging in time, and the arrow strikes deep. (5 damage, would have missed without the loss of dex AC from running) The third arrow flies harmlessly into the woods.

Fenenn lets forth a fierce howl and runs towards the battle, carrying Erf with him. (ooc: Note that you can use a ranged weapon or cast a spell while your mount is running, if you're so inclined, with a -8 penalty or a DC 15+spell level concentration check, respectively. If you want to do one of those, will fill it in here retroactively.)

[Sblock=OOC]Erf rolls profession rules lawyer... Not a big deal, well maybe depending on saves, but Sleep is a fullround action that will not actually "go off" until Master Cloudsong's next turn begins - just like a Summon spell. Sorry to be that guy...

Erf just hangs on, his sling would likely be ineffectual and he hasn't got spells to waste!

This round if our Barbarian friend fails to down his foe Fenenn will charge him with Erf making Ride check (1d20+3=12)]Ride Check to fight upon a Riding Dog so he can aide another on Fennen - he Erf tries to aide another (1d20-1=6)]fails to do so . Fenenn will attack and hit AC Fenenn's charge attack. (1d20+5=16)]16 damage Fennen's bite damage. (1d6+3=4) .

Should the big guy down his foe Erf will attempt to ride down any other reachable foe - if neccesary he will attempt to spur Fenenn, but Ride check to spur mount. (1d20+3=9)]fail . If it is not possible for him to reach a foe he will position to the barbarian take a move action to dismount and cast Cure Light Wounds for Cure Light Wounds 1 (1d8+1=5) .

Sorry to give so much info here I will be away from any computer for a while, 6 hours or so not days, and did not want to hold things up.[/Sblock]

edit:? Cyian takes aim on the wierdly dressed man. He gives his sling a whrill and let's a bullet fly after he hears him tell his men to get Tae-raen. attack = 21 Damage = 3 Confriming: Attack = 11 Damage = 5

The bullet strikes true after all the practice.

[sblock=ooc]boy I was scared 30 min ago when I rolled that save and then was editing while Trouvere was posting got a crit hope he fails his concentration check we are hurting if he gets this spell off[/sblock]
