Nope. Nothing missed, no details provided. They even got some history wrong. The D&D cartoon aired on CBS not ABC. It seems the author couldn't be bothered to do any fact checking for the article.

Pretty normal for most press, when you know something about the subject it lets you see how awfully wrong most basic facts are in the news.

Still good to see the 40th of D&D get a mention, any publicity is good publicity

Yep. I forget that until I'm reminded every few years by a news article having to do with anything I'm personally knowledgeable about. The implications can be downright disturbing.
