Mein Gott! I must do this - I've got 4 bookshelves full of DF and that'd be awesome to set it up for VTT games, or just throwing the setup on my DM's monitor (for the players to see) and keep the table free of clutter!
 



What in that video gave you that idea?
I was making a joke, since he's using a bunch of (extremely fancy) map elements he bought piecemeal to put together the fanciest Owlbear Rodeo map ever. Obviously, he bought these previously and is repurposing them, so it's not an actual sign of what he'll do when/if the WotC VTT makes it to market.
 



I am definitely going to give this a try with my DIY terrain.

I like isometric maps on VTTs a lot, but I think using abstract tokens with realistic terrain creates a bit of an Uncanny Valley effect. Tokenised photos of miniatures (at least head & shoulders) might work better though.
