So whatever remained would then be buried.
This is what I thought too and wondered if anyone else thought the same.
 




Am I a spoilsport if I point out that the archeologists believe the skull was removed in the 19th century? The article doesn't say anything about any indication of the head having been removed violently while the man was alive.
